    In QWTF he was on par with the other offensive classes....sort of like a medic in BF2

    Medics are ridiculously powerful, people just don't like to play a support class.
    But that's a good thing, there not ridiculously over powerful, any (most) class can make or break at team if used correctly, a sniper can take out there medic, and then almost the whole team, a spy can effectively get behind the defenses and make a team collapse from behind the lines, that is what a support class does, helps the other people get the upper hand. And that is what the medic does, give the team an upper hand. The smart people over at steam headquarters just realized that making a support class that doesn't get to kill things easy to play will make others want to play it. And it is the other teams darn fault if they don't counter it effectively (with a medic or otherwise)....

    As a medic, I use the Blutsauger and the Ubersaw. Why? Because the original weapons suck. The needle gun was a joke, along with the bonesaw. Which sadly was the best Medic weapon.
    Medic's needed these weapons, to get people excited about playing Medic. How many dedicated Medics did we have on TTP before the update? 1, maybe 2 who played it with some skill, and didnt just play it because the team needed one.

    How many "professional" Medics are on TTP now? ALOT more. We've got Pizza, Sketch, WaterDumple, PulpySnowboy, AK-99, and me name a few (not trying to inflate my ego, just stating a fact) This update brought something that Medics needed. Excitement. If you would rather take that away Ducky, better start camping those healthpacks or pack a Sandvich, because we might not be here as much to get your back.

    If instead of reading my first post and skimming through the rest, you had actually read the thread in its entirety. Then maybe you would have read this.

    Threatening to not heal me ingame is a baseless threat. My most played classes are engi, spy and scout. Which medics never bother healing anyway.     What you should have written then, perhaps, is that the medic needs a BUFF to his old weapon choices...I think the thread would have developed very differently then.

    Stated like this, I could easily get on board...as you're saying the parallel choices for the medic are weak compared to the alt choices of the other classes. yes, I agree.

    But one thing I don't get is why does the uber charge turn off when you switch to another weapon? I hate it when I have to waste an uber when a sniper head shots my guy seconds before i right click, making my uber go off without saving my guy, and then to make it worse no one else is around and I'm suddenly surrounded! I would like to at least take a few people out while retreating, that would be nice...

    Also I think there should be a overflow on the uber, so it can be ready in the same amount of time but extra healing after would actually help and make it last a little longer, not too much longer but like a max of 5 more seconds or somthing? It would help a lot when they have 2 turrets set up and your being juggled at the same time, so you have a larger time to get rid of them.

    I think the uber mechanics are fine as-is and don't need to be changed. They can be neutered by a good pyro or even by good sollies or demos using their explosives to make movement difficult. Allowing your uber to continue while using other weapons would make the ubersaw absurdly powerful... uber yourself and go around smacking people to keep yourself invulnerable.

    The only thing the medic needs is a compelling reason to actually consider using the needlegun and bonesaw over the two unlocks.
