Thread: Weird Death Camera Freeze Frame

I get this when I die in TF2. It lasts as long as the freeze frame when I die. Death cam view is normal however as is live gameplay.

Anyone know what causes this?

My google and steam forum search failed when trying to word this so I'm starting here.


I've got the latest Drivers for 9800 GX2 from late June 2009.
I have not yet tried reverting back to older drivers.

I had an issue where when I died the deathcam stutters and sort of freezes until I respawned, it turned out to be because of a high fps config I was using. You using one or tweaked video settings in your configs?

Go into tf2 launch options from steam and add the launch line -autoconfig

Run tf2 and that will reset your video settings. You need to then take that line out or it will reset each time you play. See if that reset helps
