    Re: cloak and dagger

I'll say the same thing I have always said since the C&D came out. It is crap and encourages a type of gameplay for the spy that he shouldn't have. Sure you're always invisible, but you have to move very slowly and wait a lot. This is a lot of time doing absolutely nothing. Not helping the team and not getting kills. You might as well not have a spy on the team with the amount of stuff you are able to do with a C&D. If you want to stay invisible forever, learn where ammo boxes are and use the original watch. Or just learn where you can decloak to save some charge.

    +1

Like I said, it's nice, but it takes too long to recharge. The invisibility watch is still the best.

Seems to me like C&D would be better if the enemy is being paranoid, since you can sit back safely and not worry about getting discovered barring random Pyro spam.

C&D seems like it's designed around playing recon instead of assassin, with the ability to occasionally sneak by and gut a random Medic or Heavy. I'd still say the default watch is best for most situations, though.

I'm still sticking with my Dead Ringer sounds like some people just don't understand how to use it, but it does all depend on what map your on that is so true I mean in some maps the Dead Ringer can be your worst nightmare. I love letting people think they got me you wont believe how many people don't look up to see who they killed or if they killed someone at all its great, I'm sticking with my Dead Ringer but that's just me.

Wasn't there already a thread like this. :5

Also, C&D for defense, regular for everything else. Dead ringer if your absolutely raping the enemy team, and have no better way to mess around with them, or give them an extra edge.

I used to use the DR almost exclusively but then I realized that (in my opinion) it was a complete noob device. It allowed you to be perfectly reckless in all regards and never die as long as you had a good idea of where to find some ammo.

Tested it and it now takes about 18-19 seconds to recharge, I'll definetly play around with it tonight.

You are only thinking of the C&D as a stationary weapon, you can still move around with it cloaked. I use it to get me into the general area of where I need to do work, sure it drains faster, but I usually stop moving right before it runs out. That way Im in their base/setup/frontlines or whatever, and I can choose the perfect time to strike.

Like I said you do not have to stand still indefinitely, you can crouch to where you need to go, or straight up run there and stop moving before the watch exhausts its cloak.

In my opinion it is the embodiment of the true spy item, you sneak into their base, observe, report, or just wait for the perfect time to strike (while still moving mind you), a ninja fly on the wall.

Its also perfect for making your escape, when someone is running after you and they turn a corner and you are gone. Unbeknownst to them you could be standing right next to them.

Maybe I just find all of the uses in the watch while others just think of it on a one track mind, and not using it to its full potential.

    Dead ringer is still crap.

I don't think you even can argue spy tactics with agent here.
