Finally figured out TF2 demoui moviemaker!

Well, here's an example of a movie I actually made after forever of getting too impatient and frustrated trying to figure out how to make the movie maker work without constant crashes etc. The explanation of how I did this is another topic altogether and the culmination of quite a bit of research but here's a snip with more to come (maybe finally make a highlight reel?). Make sure to watch in HD cause thats the whole reason I went to all this trouble.

    Nice cap

Did you do this by outputting the tga files and putting them together in virtual dub or some movie program?

I goofed around last week trying to enter a video for the rj speedrun thing but ragequit because I couldn't really figure out how I was going to edit it since I don't have a movie editing program like sony vegas.

Anyone know good freeware for editing vids?

Yes, I put it together in virtual dub; but I didn't output .tga files, I outputted a movie. The way I do it, I can edit these in windows movie maker! The trick is the shortcuts to que up the move and take it without being at the very spot you need to be to start. I'll have to talk with you about it cause I can't really go in depth as to how I did it without writing a frickin article.

Windows Movie Maker! Haven't used it in a long time but it does what you need it to. You can insert clips, crop the timeline, change the playback speed if you need to, add music, etc. Pretty much everything I do in Vegas you can do in WMM I think.

PM me if you have questions, I'm happy to help. Unless, of course, you actually beat my 2:27 time. Did you?

    Real men use After Effects.

And it's good to see another person gaining the ability to create movies. We need more TF2 videos I say, MORE!

ya, I know I'm only scratching the surface of what you're able to do but at least I figured out how to record a HD movie and not just use fraps!
