    With mine, twice a month it's, "I think we got a virus on the laptop because it's running slow." Nevermind that it is a work loaner pos Dell from 2005 that has gone through four different users. Really got to get her a new machine. :3

    Back OT, it looks as if Valve's 01/06 patch addressed the multi-core issues I was having. I'll try this pro-tip as well, exit. Thx.

    To add to this people with vista or win 7(i have vista so cant confirm win 7) can configure windows defender and add the same folder to the exclusion list.
