TF2 Lobby Released
http://tf2lobby.com/
Its basically tf2 with the l4d lobby system, they already have 40+ servers so you don't need your own to play, but having one helps since you can keep the pugs going without having to rejoin and make a new lobby. It uses in-game too so no need to mess with out of game voip programs, just click create lobby/join lobby, pick a class and play. I haven't gotten a chance to play in one yet but from what I've read you can make a lobby and set up crits on/off, what classes are limited, what voip type you want (alltalk, deadtalk or no only talking when alive).
Anyway, this seems like its a great alternative to irc pugging since you don't have to download anything and theres people of all skill levels, if you haven't played 6v6 before and want to, this is a great way to get started.

Re: TF2 Lobby Released
Sick, I wonder if valve will pick it up like they did with community maps and officially implement it with an update eventually.
Although for that to work well for a large audience they might need to come up with a Halo style rating or qualification test like Quake Live has to see if people can rocket jump, sticky jump, chain ubers, etc. and maybe assign people to different groups based on pass or fail.
In any case, anyone here interested in 6v6 should just jump in and try it, 6v6 is great.
These features are pretty badass, straight out of l4d:
You have the option of making your lobby private with a password of your choice. You can choose to play on a server that has partnered with us, if available, or you can specify your own server. In the latter case, you will need to provide a server address and its RCON password.

I personally like the idea and hope it is very successful.
