Ditto... I've never had to do anything fancy... and it is easy to test whether or not you have any acceleration leftover (move mouse slow/fast through same portions of mousepad and see if crosshair moves more or less on screen).

me too but I also add this to my launch options: -novid -console -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemsp

I made a thread about this a few months back.

I have always left mouse acceleration on because I never knew about turning it off. I tried it off but didn't play as well so I just leave it on. So, what Coors said, it's personal preference.
