I think teamplay explains why so many people voted for medic, but not why so many people didn't vote for engy. I know a lot of people enjoy playing engy sometimes (including myself), but it can definitely be less exciting than some of the other classes.

ALSO, the thread was started before gunslinger was introduced, which I think is the primary reason that people didn't vote for engy.

As a side note, I think a good engy is actually very team-oriented, since dispensers and teleporters are both extremely useful. Similarly, good snipers and spies can be very team-oriented, even though bad pub players often gravitate towards them most.

Engies—especially experienced ones who play on our server—are the under-appreciated rocks of TF2. It's a good feeling to help them hold/overtake points and chokes. Unfortunately, I'm terribad at the class, even with all the gidgy-gadgets.
