    That does sound pretty OP. If it was tweaked a bunch, it might be useful, but the way they have it outlined now it would really be too much.

    For one, remove any aspect that your teammates can see infected enemies at all. What would be the point anyways? If you can see them through walls, it is just way OP and more like cheating and if you can see them only while in each player's line of sight, it would be pointless. Would players be expected to avoid killing said people? Just draws attention to them and could be dangerous anyways.

    Limit the amount you can infect at a time to say 4 or 5 so that way on full servers, if by chance you can infect the whole team, you can't just kill them all at once. Have it be more like the demo stickies and you can only have X amount deployed at a time.

    The concept does make sense for a spy, but the way it is laid out here is way too much.

    I read about this a while back. I have to say, the idea is terrible. With this, you wouldn't kill anybody. Spy-checking is easy enough without a spy staying out in the open like an idiot. Normally people are stabbed from the back of a group and then you make your way to the front. With this, what are you going to do? Inject the back, then walk by the person to inject someone else? That won't be suspicious at all! You'll be shot and killed before you inject your 2nd person making the entire life a waste of time and making the spy a waste of space. The other scenario is injecting a lone person, but in that case knife is much better than this crap.

    It is gimmicky, complex, and doesn't give spies any reasonable tactical benefits over the knife. I hope Valve never picks this idea up because that will be a waste of a unlock for spies.

    Riot it does have its applications. In a one vs one situation normaly the one person kill dosnt hurt the opposing team to much or give you a huge advantage strategicly. But lets say all of a sudden both engineers die and so does the sniper? This would provide your team with a numerical advantage and make it easy to shatter the defence of a point. I can easily see a spy getting multiple poisons off, snipers wouldnt even notice, any class that spends an extended amount of time standing still not surrounded by friendlies would be an easy mark for a mass death.

    It would be interesting and IMO it seems far from overpowered as the Spy is going to die a lot while he has injections in. I see the spy all the time killing 3 or 4 guys in a row with the regular knife. With the delay between injections, it would take quite a while in game time to actually get a bunch of injections in and even then most of the time I see him getting killed. It does have applications as Langrad said but just cause there are instances where its useful doesn't make it overpowered.

    The delay doesn't sound like it'd be too big anyways and is only between the injection itself. You can still detonate them all at the same time I believe. I see it being used as others have said on snipers and engineers mostly guarding sentries.

    As has been said though, it would have to be something would need to be tested to see how effective or ineffective it is in game.

    Valve let airblast mess with ubers, so there is a precedent for countering ubers. This is a little extreme, but it doesn't seem like it would happen much and the alternative seems much better to me. Why not just stab the medic with the regular knife instead of all this waiting for them to uber? The only advantage this seems to have is that you could inject the uber targets and wait for them to be ubered and kill them, but that seems like a lot of work with a high amount of risk involved and forces the spy to kill nobody while waiting. Just makes me hate this weapon even more.

    Airblast is situational and doesn't always work, this would be more like the original instance of the sandman, except even worse.

    The airblast is hardly situational when dealing with ubers. I'd sooner take a pyro for that job than a soldier or demo.

    The issue with your logic is that the spy has already stabbed the patient, so the kill is warranted. It's just kind of retarded on his part if he forgoes the medic just to set that up, however. Especially since with the normal knife, you could just chainstab both and be done with it.
