There's already the female Medic, Scout, Spy, and Heavy. So why is Valve not deciding to go ahead and get to work on this? I see no reason for them not to.

That already exists. Reflect a rocket at your feet and you can airblast jump.

Yeah... but you can't do that on your own. With how well the airblast works throwing enemies around, you should be able to just point it down and go. Nothing as drastic as rocket or sticky jumping, but something more along the lines of the fan.
