On the other hand with an event, if someone is not at their computer, when they come back they still have a message asking them to play. Getting the attention of more people, making priming more effective.

I still dont understand how posting an announcement is bad. For major announcements like the IP change we can update the profile information, use the forums, post announcements on the TPG main group.
I feel the announcement is a nice compromise between the annoyance of an event and the desire to get people to see the priming message.Last edited by Silent_Crow; 09-27-10 at 12:14 AM.
