Strange Axtinguisher and Degreaser are cheap and easy to get. Less than one refined metal each compared to 64+ refined metal for a Strange Huntsman (sorry enf).

tbh I dont give a shit what theyre worth. I just want strange weapons that I'll actually use. This whole 'TF2 Economics' garbage will fizzle out eventually for the Huntsman.

Nope. As long as they only drop in salvaged crates, and as long as salvaged crates are ultra-rare, S. Huntsman will never be cheap. Its supply and demand, and it works whether you believe in it or not.

Also, Valve isn't making lots of money on S. Huntsman. They're expensive because they're rare, but they still come from crates that are opened with $2.50 keys, and the crates drop for free (but exceedingly rarely). So honestly I don't know what Valve's plan is with these salvaged crates, but its not to make money.

right now the strange huntsman is listed for 24-26 keys. keys have to come from somewhere value knows what its doing.

Two problems with that:
1) Salvaged crates are significantly more rare than 24-26 times.
2) You don't need 24-26 keys to open the crate, just to buy the crate from someone else. And what does that person do with those keys? Open 24-26 crates. No actual gain.

If Valve really wanted to make money, they would sell the crates for, like, $20 on the store.

The items buying system completely turned me off from the game. It is so funny how people want rare items just because they are rare. I only want functional shit. I hope the rest of the games dont go down this path.

Ya but the thing is you dont have to buy anything to get it. Since weapons arnt supposed to be better then anything released previously it dosnt matter if you have it or not. Hats are all cosmetic so its nice to have but you dont need it. None of it effects the game except that those with disposable income that love TF2 can have custom names on their weapons, kill counters, and glowing hats.
