I think valve has managed to keep things balanced while adding a lot of fun items. This seems to get ignored around here, but the new items tend to be way more fun than their vanilla counterparts. I have only just started to realize how the developers have envisioned this game. It is not about winning as much as finding the funniest ways to kill your friends.

    We've lost another one.

This aside, to me, it's more of a mindset thing. People need to realize that, hey, a digital item has no significance or achievement to it, and that the nature of the game is its silliness. Teamplay is vastly important, hence the name, but it's not as bad as it's made out to be.

Despite all the bitching and moaning I hear, I still love this game. It still feels very much like it did when I first played it, on the console mind you. It's just with the extra content added in, that's it.

People who complain that it's changed too much are just whiners, if they want it that bad then make a damn mod and leave my favorite fps alone. I have never played a single game for this long without stopping or growing tired of it, I love the depth of the classes and how it's all about accomplishing objectives rather than just kill kill kill.

That's one of the reasons I stopped playing CoD, nobody cared about the objective, just their K D. TF2 doesn't have that, hence why I still play it.

I would like to point out that vanilla pyro had no air burst... Not sure if vanilla is the weapons at the start of the game or the final versions of the starting weapons. Iv played it since the start but I dunno if I could make a good write up... I would be fine with talking to whoevers doing it with some of the big changes from a while ago :0

I have been a bit burned out with TF2 for a while now. I used to play for 3-5 maps straight.
It is a GREAT game, there are a few minor balance issues, but again, minor, considering the vast amount of classes / weapon combos you can have.
This game has so many ways to kill a person, some being really annoying, which makes it seem.... not as fun. When you are battling soldier v soldier for a cap point, and out of nowhere you get backstabbed.....well.... we all know what it feels like.

Most of the new maps, and game styles attached are kinda lame IMO compared to the original maps.
Payload races are dumb. It makes no sense.

All in all, TF2 has to be one of the greatest FPS games of all time. It has never been a "broken" game, like some battlefield games and COD games.
CS and TF are pretty much legendary. This game will eventually burn itself down some, and hopefully take a backseat to TF3. Who knows though and who knows what style of game TF3 will be, for all we know it could be more like TFC. Enjoy the game, remember, you don't have to play it.
