TF2 Blog: Bonjour amis de cinéma

Allo, mes amis! Ho ho ho!

Valve took a film class last week so they would be qualified to judge the many great entries in the Saxxy Awards contest! So many unfamiliar terms! Mise en scene! Auteur! Avante-garde! Montage! Even cinéma itself!

What do all of these words have in common? Un: They sound complicated enough that Valve decided they had no business judging cinéma. Deux: These words were all invented by me, Francis the Talking France! And so Valve has spared no expense in flying me tout de suite to the French-sounding town of Bellevue to judge the entries myself! C'est magnifique!

But onh-honh-honh. Why the sad French sounds? Because I see now this is too big a job for one talking France. So I am writing this poste de blog to announce that judging of the Saxxy Awards is now open to tout le monde! Le jugement est fantastique!

Why do people upload 6 min videos for these things? Nobody wants to watch 5:57 seconds of you playing and then see that actual footage that coincides with the category...

Please tell me they made it so you can't vote for your own and it doesn't even show up. I'm going paranoid here as I've searched for my video for 10 minutes and haven't seen it despite seeing some 3 times already.

First few I saw:
-Ones that were over 1min (come on valve you couldn't apply some filter to remove those?)
-Clips from some anime that has nothing to due with TF2 and they most likely don't have the rights to
-Clips of stuff that happens all the time with long portions where nothing happens

No wonder Valve setup a community filter, who would want to filter through all this shit.
