From what I saw of it tonight its going to get the nerfbat.
I give it until the end of the next week before its utterly useless.
Its spin up time is just crazy, and the firing speed really doesn't detract that much from it.

I'm surprised they didn't give it something like -50% health, the spin up makes the Minigun into an assault rifle, it's absurd.

I honestly don't think its OP. Although it makes the heavy pretty ninja and almost as dangerous as a pyro for close quarters surprising, the weapon is really inferior to the minigun for raw damage output and on some maps.

It has little use on payload maps really for example, especially on offense. So that makes it balanced since its not a full time upgrade. But on a map like gorge or badlands with lots of flanking/hiding areas it can be pretty impressive.

I'd say maps its an upgrade on are the 5 cp maps, and the maps its not an upgrade are payload maps and maps like dustbowl, gravelpit.

I think the weapon will be nerfed, soldier and scouts used to have a chance in close range when they got the drop on a heavy, now that he revs up instantly it is almost impossible to drop onto an unsuspecting heavy as scout or jump up to one as soldier.
