Re: On the subject of the Mann Co Store
I didn't even think of the set hat thing, that's BS, another reason Valve needs to grow some balls and remove the hat bonuses (They can still be in the set, just don't require them for the bonus) People who bought it will still have the hat, any bonus they got for having it early is long since gone, and I'm sure the creators' profits has long since dwindled. (Not to mention that they force people to a certain hat, with everything they've added to choose from plus they don't even let you paint them... bunch of whores)
While some unlocks are nice, the stock weapons are all great.
It still comes down to skill, purchased weapons or not they'll all get their asses kicked.Last edited by insanegammer109; 07-17-11 at 05:14 AM.

Re: On the subject of the Mann Co Store
I don't think it Mann co ruined tf2. Vulcan is right, business's like making a profit. If the money from the Mann co keeps the creative and hard working team around so they can continue to put out so much free content (even outside of game play), then more power to them. I think many people have gotten so comfortable with the extra weapons that they forget that in almost all cases the stock items work extremely well, for newbs or pros. Honestly there is so much to learn about tf2 now that a beginning player doesn't need the distraction from multiple different load-out combos. Novelty blinds many...

That's a great point.
And I don't believe all the new weapons are 'upgrades' per se, but they do allow a player with all the weapons to be MUCH MORE VERSATILE and ADAPTIVE to the situation on the enemy team (to develop specific counters that work better than stock loadouts vs. an enemy composition) which is a HUGE advantage.
However, a new player will simply be overwhelmed with all the weapons and should learn the stock loadouts first anyway.
