Regs: Saying Hello
Now that crits are back on, for the past couple of nights, I have caught the server full or near full without a single reg on. The difference our server makes from others is not the no-crits nor the music, but the teamplayer regs, who interact, communicate, lead and sometimes rant passionately (e.g. sM0Ke, Langrad).
I challenge you, TPG reg, to befriend one new friend non-reg on our server and bring them back to our server and forums each week. For every one new TPG reg you bring, you may keep tally here of your e-peen. Let's get the likes of Tommy and Markus Limwald back.
Accept my challenge or remain forever a coward.

Good to hear that the server is getting traffic. I think the main thing is that the people who were constantly priming were getting no love, so this is a step in the right direction...

Re: Regs: Saying Hello
This i a tough time for TF2. BF3 is out and I have noticed a lot of TF2 regs putting time in (ooze, smoke, myself, sk33 and countless others). Playing at TPG helps all games, regardless of the game you play, getting people to the forums is what really takes a new "n00b" to an elite gamer. Making people aware of the higher standard we have and pushing the TPG philosophy is important. Whether you bring someone in from TF2, CSS or BF3... we are looking for team oriented players. I applaud those who bring this to the game. Its not always easy to coordinate a team and also get someone interested in the type of game we play. I am a natural TPGer... as I always thought a team working together is better than a team of elitist who worry about KDR. Bring the ones who "get it here" they will probably end up like me... noobing it up in TF2 and ending up being a TPGer, regardless of the game.
Basically take your time on those who have the right intangibles. They might not frag the most but they coordinate, and make for the greater good of the team. Playing at TPG will teach them how to frag, the skill level makes that happen.
MPB is making the effort here and I really applaud it. TF2 is in a lull right now but the ones who are taken from the ranks of "pub star" and make it here will surely realize what is here.
I will make an effort to put at least 30 mins+ in TF2 everytime I launch steam. Lets get involved with the changes we have made to get new people here and make them teamplayers. Whether they stay in TF2 is up to them but the right mind-set will go much farther than anything around here.masterPAINb liked this post
