Requesting Admin Clarification on Scripting and Binding
As has been discussed a little in the other thread, the most recent update has broken some scripts that are commonly in use. Some admins have weighed in on this, saying that most of the scripts broken by the change are ones that should be a bannable offense.
Furthermore, they have stated that some binds, like binding fire to the mousewheel, are illegal.
I, personally, have never bothered to use scripts, and my key bindings are very close to default - I have, however, been thinking of adding some reload scripts, just to make my life easier, but I wanted to ensure that this was considered legit before I did so.
So I would ask that the admins clarify their position on non-standard scripts and binds. Where is the line drawn between a script that just makes gameplay more intuitive, and one that is exploitative? What key binds should I avoid?

Better to be safe than sorry Cheese. So, smart part on you asking for clarification :9. When it comes to binds and script there is a fine line or grey area with them as some of them make the game more conveniant (like using reload scripts to avoid mashing the "r" button) and some exploit certain features of the game. However, I'm gonna let another admin with more script ling-o answer your question thoroughly.
If I think to hard my brain hurts... Could you clarify that for me?

Re: Requesting Admin Clarification on Scripting and Binding
Well, I have some scripts (like my awesome pistol script ) that I would more or less use when I play in pugs. So this just means I have to remove them every time I want to play on TTP, and put them on again when I play in a pug. So it is just a hasstle. Scripts like rocket jumping and stuff like that should be iilegal, but having the rocket's auto reload? That isn't some weird hack.
Just my point of view.Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."
Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"
