If your going to be building the C++ code, your going to need MS Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition (it's free, you just have to register).

(FYI MS Visual Studio 2008 is also known as MS Visual Studio v9.0, hence the msvs9 directory which is where the lonestar solution and project are)

For the python code (which visual studio doesn't understand), you can use any editor you want, but I highly recommend Notepad++. It's free, lightweight, does python syntax highlighting, and is just a good text editor all the way around.
