L4D Server Crash

Me and BD and grave and some other guy were playing blood harvest.

As it switched to the 4th or 5th stage we all lost connection to the server.

This has happened several times to me, and only on TTP servers. Could this be a lonestar related bug? Does something on the server box need to get changed? Is it just bad luck?

Oh, this was at about 9:30, not sure which server. BD, do you remember?

I'm wondering, since TF2 is reporting the same kind of crashes at map changes, that this might affect L4D as well.

people do tend to say it happens to them at TTP only....

In the last TF2 update valve admitted that the general populace was having connection timeouts between map changes because Valve was having the servers upload achievement info between the map changes and it could take longer than expected. For TF2, they supposedly fixed it in that update.

I've seen no such claim by Valve regarding L4D, but to me the timeouts feel like they might be the same thing.
