CS:S Voting
http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?topic=73097.0
Basically people agree that they want the voting window to not show up until either they die or the round ends.
Possible?

Re: CS:S Voting
While technically feasible, the biggest problem is the logistics of making a vote last that long.
For instance suppose an admin wants to turn on all-talk and starts a vote... it would effectively be paused for 3 minutes until the round ends, and then it would come up. I don't think this should be the case for general votes, because it gets in the way of on-demand votes.
However if just the next-map vote waited until round end that might work out logistically for Counter-strike. For games like TF2, the entire time played on the map might be one round so there may not be a round to delay for. For TF2, basing it off of player death may work (as people rarely survive longer than a minute), but it still drags out the vote with some people voting early and others voting really late. And what if someone lives for 5 minutes?

I should also point out that there is a reason LoneStar has a revote option, so that if you just need to exit the vote quick you can, and then you can revote your real choice later.

Re: CS:S Voting
Well how about setting a variable time on how long a vote lasts? Time left in round + 10 seconds.
Have the vote box pop up @ player death (and @ round end if they haven't died already. You know, when it says "Counter-Terrorists Win.")
You could also put a check in there, before the next round starts (thinking of AWP vote here) if the [ #ofVotes Yes / #ofTotalPlayers >= 50% ] end vote. Same thing with No. That way, people can't revote yes and abuse the system, AFTER they buy an AWP.
So in summary:
Vote initiated will last Rest of round + 10 seconds.
Vote box will only show up when you are dead, or when the round ends ( If you are still alive, you have the option to vote for about 3-5 seconds. ).
If a single option has the majority of votes (I.E. no matter what anyone else votes for, another option can't win). End vote @ next round start.
Logic would be something like this to end the vote @ round start:
If [ Second Highest Option + ( #ofPeople - #ofVotesCast ) < Highest Option ]
End vote in favor of Highest Option
else
Do nothing.

Re: CS:S Voting
I think the best solution is to label the votes numbers 5-0 like someone suggested. That and make yes NOT the first option.

Re: CS:S Voting
my idea would be to have the vote as a separate key like Press 9 for votes... so you dont have to type out vote to vote... or maybe one of the F1 - F12 keys

CS:S, All servers.
Votemap comes up at 12 wins. normal. But.... The map switches immediately after the round ends. First to 15, remember?
