Re: Few More Icon Requests
What I've learnt about art, is that there are no SET rules. Why? Because every medium may have a different rule. Every piece of work you envision for someone else, may not be what they envisioned. There are countless reasons why, for example:
Bigdog asks me to create something with a set of guidelines. I make it as close as possible to that set of guidelines, but when I show it to him he disapproves or wants something changed. I may disagree and try to change his mind, but if he insists, I change it and show it to him again. If he disapproves, I change it again. Just because I followed the guidelines he set, doesn't mean he's gonna like it.
I see one simple rule, bigdog makes the rules. It's his vision and I do my best to follow it.
If you are asked to make something for TPG and you don't see bigdog's name mentioned, it would be in your best interest to find out if it has been approved, before creating anything.Last edited by jakt; 12-28-12 at 02:20 PM. Reason: grammar

Re: Few More Icon Requests
bigdog never requested any signatures.
I wasn't scoffing max in anyway, just requested him to fix a minor detail. I even gave him a choice, so that he could keep ownership of his work or make it TPG owned.
As I mentioned in another thread, the media signatures are an excellent idea and they were brilliantly executed. The quill and ink splotches and the headset all speaking media and writing. Awesome! Even the logo which talks about global community is great, but it's a conflict in branding which needs to be fixed.

Look guys, don't get pissed at jakt. This is my fault. I asked for the sigs, and didn't make sure they complied with TPG rules before OKing them to Max. jakt doesn't make the rules, just like I don't either. Now I, and the rest, know the rules, and will be sure to enforce them, so that it doesn't all fall on jakt in the future. Max has the choice to edit them to comply, allow someone else to edit them to comply, or do nothing. He is well within his rights to choose any option. We have the icons we need, and I thank those who have offered ideas. That being said this horse is dead a few times over, so moving on...
