    Thanks chosen, Walker.

If people start shit up again, I WILL have this post locked, and Civil can submit his article when he feels it's ready.

    Carry on.

Re: The purpose of clans on TTP (at least mine).

I'm going to add my two cents into this conversation, because I think it's time cooler heads prevailed, and in the spirit of civility :-)

Firstly, I think some people are interpreting what BlueMaxox is saying as a direct attack on them personally. I didn't read it that way. I think he was trying to convey what being a member of a clan means to him, and he's obviously passionate about the subject. Reiskis lied to the clan about why he was leaving. Hopefully he learns something from this experience. I don't even know him personally, so I can't guess at why it happened. All I know is that it did. It sounds like he's learned something about truth in all of this, and he'll be a better person for it. That's what I hope for at least. Good luck to you Reiskis! That's part of growing up - learning from your mistakes. Believe me - I'm made a lot of them :-) The truth is always something you'll want to be on the right side of.

Secondly, Millwall - I'm not sure why you think Blue's statement was directed at you in any way, shape, or form. I don't think anyone has any problems with anything you've done (EVER). You left because you wanted to, and you don't need an explanation. You were truthful and direct. Again, I don't think anyone has any issue with any of your actions whatsoever, so be careful about taking them that way. And good luck to you my friend! I always enjoy playing on the server with you!

Thirdly, Rooster - well your last post summed it up, and good on ya for recognizing this isn't the place. Whatever issues you have with Blue, I'm sure they can be solved on the battlefield.

And thanks to the moderators for keeping everyone's emotions in-check. You guys always do great work, and you're a big reason why I like playing here.

Lastly, and this may not interest you, but I wanted to share some thoughts I had today regarding this whole clan thing, honesty, brotherhood/sisterhood, etc.

I've played on this server for awhile now. I'm not a big gamer, but when I have time, BF2 represents a nice way to provide stress-relief for me. TTP was a great find in that they do everything right to make the experience as enjoyable as it should be. I love that, and that's why it's the only place I play.

So for a couple of years I guess, I've been doing just that. I knew some of you by name and voice, and we've squadded together many times. I've killed you...you've killed me. Long story short...I've always had a blast :-)

Anyway, then one day Bluemaxox sends me an invitation to join SsT. I'd never been involved in a clan, but I was familiar with the purpose. I though I'd give it a whirl, so I joined up.

And then WAMMO! A whole new layer of depth opened up to me concerning the emotional investment a lot of you have in this. That was particularly interesting to me, because frankly, I never knew it existed. And it presents a really interesting dichotomy for me. In some ways, I miss the old days of just playing on the server, not wearing clan tags, not being emotionally invested in what really is just a game, etc. But I've also enjoyed that spirit of camaraderie that being a member of a clan provides, squadding with your clanmates, working together, being part of a team, etc. It's been interesting, and a great insight into all of you as people and individuals, which is maybe the most inherently interesting thing about it :-)

So...all that being said...I think it's time everyone took a deep breath, collected their emotions, and got back to doing the very simple thing that we all came here to do in the first place...play BF2 and have fun. Right?

Let's all forgive and get back to killing eachother like civilized human beings! :-) Remember, this is just a game. Be careful not to take anything too personally in all of this. There's much more important stuff in the world to get emotionally invested in.

Have fun all, and thank you TTP for everything you do!

    - T

The conversation is over. Please do not say anything more unless it is feedback to civil's article.
