Also, the cast is now on YouTube on the TPG channel. It is broken up into parts due to the length.

The best advice I could give, being that I am not a SHOUTcaster, would be to study other SHOUTcasters. Each has their own own personal but you'll notice that every good SHOUTcaster has one thing in common, they don't shut up. The ability to hold a conversation with your co-host or better yet, yourself, during a entire match goes a long way. It keeps your attention and even in the dull moments of game play, good casters always find something to talk about. I'd say that's probably the most important thing and probably the only real rule; Never leave your audience in the dark. Great knowledge of the game helps too.
Using good tools and methods can go a long way as well. Which is why I'm going to link you to one of my personal favorite ShoutCasters.
Love him, or hate him; Day[9] is one of the most successful SHOUTcasters around. He loves to use his webcam in conjunction with the cast. It makes him more personable, which most people respond well to. I've watched him live stream with 18k people watching his independent twitch TV cast.. He also has millions of youtube views. He is definitely worth listening to, especially because he made a series of videos to help and recommend certain tools and ideas to people that are just getting a start at live streaming. Dont pass this up,you'll probably learn quite a bit.

You can also check out his website day9.tv to watch him doing some SHOUTcasting.
Other then that, just have fun with it, and pretty soon I imagine it starts to come naturally.

I love all of you guys! that being said...i stopped watching, less than 30 seconds in...i agree with rooster, MORE ENTHUSIASM! and less in-game audio! and more ENTHUSIASM! you have to be unique, maybe even a little silly, time to say 'fuck what every one else thinks' and be yourself, now go shout cast the hell out of the next video

I think this is the best advice anyone could receive. I talked to Bxttle, a well-renowned shoutcaster for L4D2tv.net, and asked him for some tips with shoutcasting. He basically told me exactly what Scotzo just said. Be yourself and don't worry about acting like a fool. Yes, keep it professional in a sense, but don't try to act like Al Michaels on Sunday Night Football, which is what I was trying to do in my first shoutcast... Good advice Scotzo. I know I will do a lot better in my next shoutcast.
