Thread: booya, CSS server :)

I wasn't banned but I was warned back to back rounds for something I don't believe is warranted; one more time would have resulted in a ban though. I don't know who the admin was at the time but I am assuming it was bishop? I didn't want to make a big fuss about it ingame, would rather discuss the matter on the forums in a civil manner.

It happened less than an hour ago on the CSS server (no awp one) on de_contra. First warning I got was for not following the strat when I was indeed following it. The call was split upper and lower to take A bomb site, which I immediately ran upper but someone on CT side had flanked (by pushing mid) and killed about 3+ people running behind them as they ran upper too (but they were behind me). There was another guy alive at upper with me and I guess we were actually one of the first to lead the pack onto upper and we both realized the rest was flanked by a CT player so we went back to try to deal with that person. The person with me actually got the kill as we were both shooting at the flanker hiding in dark spot (spammable box cubby). So as soon as the CT was killed, I continued on sludge to push upper with my teammate who actually was pushing at upper A non-sludge part slightly behind me. Then I was slayed and warned for not following the call. For one, I was following the call to take A but was delayed by the flanker and two, I wasn't even the last person to try to take upper.

Ok, well that's fine I guess, I wrote ingame something like: "why was I slayed, I was following the call" (in team chat) just to plead my case but not pushing it. I figured maybe he didn't see both of us trying to kill the flanker or something and as soon as he died he just dead-spec'd me running upper A late. Although he didn't slay the other person too, he probably just wanted to set an example. But then the next round happened, and the call was to rush lower A. I had a good spawn and was like second person leading the charge. The first guy died to a person in lower A sewer and I ran down sewer to kill him or die trying to. I actually died trying to almost immediately as a fell into sewer after taking two deagle shots and the enemy spraying me down. Then I got a warning for baiting and next time will be a ban. That left me confused as I was one of the first person to die. I must have rubbed the admin the wrong way, I didn't even try to refute or say anything this time and went along with it.

Well, that's all I wanted to say and I want to hear the admin's case. Enjoy the server of course, I can't pub on normal servers after playing here. It's almost like a large-size scrim (although no switching sides); everyone is generally really nice (and competitive :yarr:). The only time I usually play CSS was either scrimming or in competitive league play and this is the only pub that can replicate something like that but more relaxed way.
