Thread: unban request

I was playing on the CSS server (the 27015 AWP-allowed one) on Saturday morning (1/14) around noon. The map was de_contra and I was playing on the T side. My username is draymond and my Steam ID is STEAM_0:1:29473139.

The self-appointed team leader at the time was some guy named Phantom. His first call was for 4 to fake B while 6 planted the bomb at A. 7 went B and 3 (including me) went A. We lost the round. Phantom starts going nuts. He was literally screaming into the mic. He started calling his teammates idiots. The verbal abuse continued and I got fed up with this guy. I told him he was an a**hole and suggested someone else make the calls. There was some back and forth and we swore at each other a few times. Then an admin said "if you have a problem with Phantom take it to the forums". I didn't say anything after that. The next round Phantom called "drop into spawn and go A". I spawned on the upper ledge and I ran directly towards A. A couple guys on the team corrected me (respectfully) and I realize now that "drop into spawn" means to take a path that prevents the other team from seeing which direction I went. A few seconds later I was kicked and banned.

I assume the ban was a combination of these factors.

(1) (Arguing with Phantom) I have been playing on this server a lot over the last three weeks and I actually enjoy the emphasis on teamplay. From what I have seen the team leader is usually the most experienced player and they usually talk to their teammates respectfully. Phantom was by far the exception to the rule on this. If I am unbanned I will just avoid him. I'll switch teams if necessary (I should have done that in the first place).

(2) (Not dropping into spawn on de_contra) I didn't realize the CTs could rush the middle fast enough to see the Ts when they run across the upper ledge. This was a mistake and I won't repeat it.

It has been a week and I am still banned.
