ThatNigerian *Sharocko: Request for Unban

Howdy,

Well I got banned yesterday and made a post about it requesting an unban and well that didn't go through all the way for some reason so here's attempt number 2 at making that thread. As I write this request, I noticed you have various requirements so in order to make sure all the requirements are here, I'm going to post them in an ordered list. Hope you don't mind.

1) I'm not going to go into great length here as my explanation will inevitably recapitulate all this information so in short I was banned for "arguing with the admin" after being accused of "not following the call."

2) As your admins are completely anonymous and I don't recall who was on the server at the time, I have no guess as to which admin it was. It was sometime yesterday afternoon when the server was on de_cpl_strike. The ip address for the server is 184.173.90.91:27015 (the CS:S server with awps) and my account information is STEAM_0:1:10138086

3) Here is the scenario in short. We're playing de_cpl_strike and we have a guy on and off calling. He makes a call to split A a few times and says that 3 guys should go mid connector. I go to said mid-connector via the "subway" under mid windows in order to avoid damage from the guys picking from window and to take out the guy who rushed the subway every round. After the 3rd or 4th time this strat had been called, the admin slayed me then gave the warning "follow the call." I immediately responded via private chat to the admin that I was using subway to get to connector and that I was following the call. He responded shortly that "You were in upper B that's not the call." From this, I can observe that the admin was still alive and playing on my team but somewhere across the map. Hence, his warning and slay were unwarranted because although my radar icon said I was in the upper B area, I was actually under the window/in mid connector. In fact when he slayed me, I was entering the connector in order to clear out the bombsite. Following my response, the admin said "If you tell me more lies, I will ban you." Admittedly I responded "lies my ass" which is the warrant for the ban but the admin clearly had the incorrect perspective in the first place for the ban. The following round I rushed mid like the caller wanted and before I reached connector I was banned. Again, most likely due to the retort of "lies my ass". I should be unbanned because this admin clearly did not have the appropriate information to make the accusations he was making thus resulting in a justified response that lead to an accusation of my credibility which caused me to retort in a fashion that was not of the highest standard but was said in order to say that lying was not in occurrence.

4) I cannot write a statement saying that I will follow the call in the future when I never stopped listening to the call in the first place. I will state that I will continue to follow the call. In regards to the admin, I promise not to talk to them as I have no need to discuss issues with them. I'll just do what they say or leave the server on my own accord.

I've really enjoyed playing on your servers the last few weeks and it would be mighty pleasant to be able to do so again. If not, it's cool but I honestly think it would be a mistake to keep me banned.

Sharocko, i'm your banning admin. I apologize about the long delay. I've been busy with my finals. You were given a week ban for not following the calls numerous times and also admin disrespect. The calls were very clear for all T's to follow. It was a split A with 3 T's rushing Mid to connector to A on de_strike. Instead of going mid with the rest of your teammates, you went to upper back hall to subway and then through connector, and took your time in doing so while the rest of your team waited for the mid rushers to hit the connector. Not only did you leave your 2 teammates rushing mid, whom needed an extra help, you also took your time by camping underneath mid window and not rushing with them ...That is not following the call, and you did it twice after several warnings and a given explanation by the strat caller. I understand that you wanted to take a safer route, but going through upper back hall to subway is not MID to connector to A. Here in TPG we have strict rules to follow. We enforce teamplay and following orders to fulfill your objective in the game. That is why TPG is one of the best competitive gaming servers out there. as a Terrorist, we strictly enforce the rest of the team to follow calls from the strat caller. if you do not agree with the calls, then make a suggestion to the strat caller when your dead and not disrespect him for your inability to follow orders. Having a mic in game is highly required for strat callers...we do not follow typed calls. We also do not tolerate admin disrespect in the servers...its a bannable offense and is worthy of a permanent ban.

You should only have 2 days left on your ban. While you wait, just in case you still haven't, i suggest you read our CSS rules and policies here: CS Rules and Policies so you can prevent yourself from coming back in the banned forum in the future

Hey Bishop,

The delay is totally cool. I just finished finals myself so I completely understand. In self defense though, I attempted to communicate with the caller but he refused to read. I understand that written calls might not be followed but I think that puts mic disabled players at a disadvantage when attempting to support. I won't go into details regarding in moment gameplay decisions I made because it is unnecessary at this point, and as far as the disrespect goes Bishop, I apologize if it came across as such. I was merely attempting to discuss the situation with you, but I guess it got carried away. No hard feelings I hope.

Most of the time, strat callers do not pay attention to written suggestions. They usually listen to voiced out suggestions. It helps the team better that way. That's why we recommend players to use their mics in the servers. No hard feelings here...just make sure you understand the rules before playing in the servers. See u in game
