Please lift my ban...I played on this server for years without any problems

1. Why do you think you got banned?

I think I got banned because on consecutive rounds, I got in trouble for

(a) typing in that I would count, and then typing the number that went to B (on dust 2), then bitching at people for going B when I had just typed 7 or 8 cts are going B, then got put in my place when I was informed that people without mics are not allowed to count

and

(b) on the very next round, I completely listened to the call which was for top 3 and bomb to stand outside B while the rest of us split A in an attempt to fake A. well i went with 2 or 3 other guys long a, and got flashed as I was going through the initial double doors, then didn't make it out of the next double doors in time to fight/die with the others who rushed, then got instantly banned (although I'd like to add that I got banned right as I got killed right after finally running through the double doors, so I did try to follow the call)

2. What server were you on? what admin do you believe banned you? what admins were there playing?

I was on the CS:S TPG server that allows awps. I have no idea who banned me and I have no idea who of the people that were playing are admins.

3. Why should you be unbanned?

I am a 4 digit who has been playing since Counter-Strike 1.3. I am experienced and thoughtful when I play, and always go for the objective. Granted in this server certain things are not allowed such as saving a gun for next round instead of vainly going for a defuse, and I am okay with that and agree with it in the end because you guys are very consistent with enforcing that and other rules. I have never been a problem before. I have been a member of the online community in terms of these forums for several months now, and at my peak playing hours probably played here 5 to 6 times a week for as many as 5 to 10 hours a week, and again, I never had any issues in either arena. I'm turning 30 soon, have a 20 month old daughter, and in general am an easy-going and 'obedient' player. And more specifically, I didn't deliberately not follow the call which led to my banning; I tried, even if I was a little slow out the gates or got flashes (or I dont' remember maybe I bad-flashed myself when I tried to throw one over the wall).

4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.

It's all about keeping extra attention to the call and then executing it on T side, and I won't forget that. I'd rather die in vain a round or three then get banned.

5. Failure to address all of the above questions clearly will result in your post being locked and/or your unban request to go unprocessed. If you don't care, we don't care.

Duly noted.

6. If your ban is sustained (upheld by the voting admins), you will have to wait at least 30 days before any additional request to be "unbanned" can be accepted.

No problem.

In closing, I will do the following:

1. buy a new headset to avoid future headaches (ironically I gave my G35 Logitech headset away to a friend because I had sworn that I 'retired' from gaming...can't. stay. away.)

2. not stop when I get flashed and keep running

I was the admin that warned you about counting with no mic, and the one that banned you for not following the call. Right before I rushed double doors I said over mic that ALL of the Ts needed to push long and short, not camp, so the CTs would rotate to A. I rushed out of double doors, died, and see you still sitting on the CT side of long A not even attempting to push through.

For the record I could care less if you have a mic, other than if you are trying to give the whole team a count or make calls. I/we would prefer that you have one, but it is not required. Also, I could care less how long you have owned a Steam account or CS:S. When a call is made the players follow the call, or get banned, as you did. I got flashed, it happens when you rush a choke point, so what. I even got stuck in long connector on the box before making it out. I still had time to shoot at 1 CT by the boxes long A, and another beside pit before I died, and after I did I STILL see you not even in long connector, but outside long A totally, and you were banned. I guess I find it difficult to understand how I can make it out into long, yet you can't even make it connector? Care to explain that one?

I'd like to make it clear that I'm not EXCUSING my actions, only explaining them as best as I can:

1. I mentioned my experience only to make the point that I had played on TPG-specific servers for years without any incidents; otherwise I didn't mean to mention all that to impress anyone. I was just saying maybe my track record could be taken into consideration even if only a little bit.

2. You are totally right about my not making it even to the connector (in b/w the two sets of doors) by the time you had already gotten shot at. I don't deny your account of what happened in any way. My only regret is that I didn't just flat-out admit that, yes, even though I was flashed I definitely did stop my forward movement by literally releasing the "W" button so that, yes, I could avoid being killed while blind. However, I would like to clarify that I did not intentionally or maliciously ignore the call. I followed it but only to a certain extent, and that was totally unacceptable, but I did not ignore it outright. Maybe because I have been playing with you guys for a long time, I deserved to be banned even more, because I should have known better and have seen countless others get banned for the same reason. Nevertheless, I do believe it hurt me that I messed up two rounds in a row, but I assert that the behavior was an aberration and that I would not repeat the same events again.

Essentially, I made a couple dumb mistakes. I can't expect a different punishment from any other person who would commit the same offenses regardless of how much experience I have or how cool or nice I might be. Therefore I would gladly accept some kind of short-leash watch and warning to the effect of "if you even so much as make a small mistake you are banned for life" because any other person who would be unbanned would have to follow the same instruction.
