insdR - Banned from CSGO server

    Hello,

I just tried to connect to the CSGO NOAWP/FLAME server and to my surprise it appears I am banned.
I have no idea who banned me, the last thing I remember was connecting about an hour ago to Cambodia and then left to go play ESEA.

I would like to know if possible the reason for this ban, and hopefully an unban.
If I have done something wrong, please let me know on this thread, but as far as I am concerned, I have nothing to worry about.

Thank you for your quick response !

EDIT: Here's my player information: TeamPlayer Gaming - Player Information
    EDIT2: My steamID STEAM_0:0:277131

Re: insdR - Banned from CSGO server

Ah, I just found out why I received the ban. So apparently, I received the ban from vafaskillz which stated "Plays easy side too much, raged when switched to T on cambodia."

I didn't know I rage, I'm one of the few that openly switch sides when it goes south for the other team, and the reason why I left was definitely not "rage" but I had to go play ESEA. I guess this admin felt that a permanent ban is fair.

Re: insdR - Banned from CSGO server

FYI here are the facts: according to the gameme log TeamPlayer Gaming - Player Events History I left the game @ Dec 1, 2012 6:44:27 pm, and according to my ESEA profile (http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=sta...tch&id=3081358), the pug started at 6:47pm, which I played with gocleaver (since it was planed).

If anyone thought that I was leaving because I got switch by admin, then I don't think we have played much together.

Re: insdR - Banned from CSGO server

Anyone that plays on our servers and is an exceptional player will have to be held to a higher standard when joining teams, because quite frankly, its easy to sit there and pick people off as they rush into you. I go hard side 90% of the time, and if I don't its because I have observed a skill stack on the objective side and I try to balance. You think I wouldn't enjoy joining CT/non-objective side as much as you? Damn, that would be a FUN time for me, but alas, I have to set the example of TPG like I and the admins have since 2005. With that being said, our admin team first noticed you favoring the easy sides in CSS. More often than not, I would observe you joining maps that you liked and heavily favored CT sides, such as season. I believe I never saw you join T on that map, which initially raised the red flags for me as an admin.

Enter CS GO....I started observing the same habits of you joining easy, non objective sides....and even went as far as entering you into the player watch list for our admins to observe. One thing I absolutely cannot stand, and have noticed you do is counter stacking. Sure, you will offer to switch teams or you may switch yourself, but at that point other players may have switched themselves or joined mid game to make a counter stack....in which you get to Tee off on the objective side. Not cool. Are you doing this intentionally? I can't prove that.....but what I do know is that your habits and tendencies are conducive of a player who is taking the easy way out. With your skill level, there is absolutely no excuse to go CT on nuke (like you did today before the server crash, I was watching)....especially when there were barely no regulars on the server. You have a forum account, use your mic well, and are in leagues....so man up and lead a team every once in a while from the get go.

Now, on to your ban. You join cambodia when the CTs had 10 players and the Ts had 9 players. The score was 2-2, yet you join CT and make it an 11-9 stack for the next round? I obviously was not going to let you get away with that, so I switch you and you don't last a round before you leave. So you claim that you had a scrim, but my question is what is the point of joining the server for a few minutes? And further, if you were joining for just a few minutes, why not just join T for a few rounds than blatantly join CT to stack teams? If you know you are leaving in less than five minutes, there is absolutely no reason to do what you did.

There were 3 other admins on at the time, and they all agree that the way you joined, then left, was extremely fishy. You may post your side of the story and I can get a vote started for you tomorrow.

Re: insdR - Banned from CSGO server

Thank you for your quick response.
I can honestly say that I do enjoy CT side more than T side, but not for the reason you give. (and yes, I have played many times season as T !)

But let's not go back to that though. I am definitely not counterstacking intentionally. I have a routine when I join TPG which is pretty simple. Join -> go spectator -> go to the less populated team OR look at the players and join the one I deem less good/with the worst score. It really surprises me all that you say about me right now, and I am not even playing dumb or anything like that. You seem to have a real strong opinion on me while we barely play with/against each other in the server.

As for the ban, I did the exact same routine. Now if someone LEFT during the first round that I played, and made it seem as if I stacked the CT then i'm sorry? I mean, I joined CT because they were down in the score and had one less player. I definitely like the CT side better, not because there's no planting objective, but because I favor this side, may it be competitively or not. I can honestly say that I have never intentionally number stacked a team. Sometimes it did happen that various people switched and made it uneven, but since you can't cancel a switch...

Now one thing that you have to realize is that, if you really had your eye on me ever since CSS, why not talk to me? I have solely played TPG since I started CSS and there is no hidden reason why: it's awesome to have a PUBLIC server play this way! I believed I was on enough to get a warning about these things you were observing. If I play here it's because I like it, not because I'm forced to or anything like that. A simple warning explaining that would have definitely made me aware of a potential unintentional behavior that was bothering you.

My "side" of the story, let's call them facts, are already posted.

Again, thank you for your quick response, and please do not hesitate to PM me on steam.

The CS GO admins are reviewing your case, and once the vote has concluded, I will post the results here.

Re: insdR - Banned from CSGO server

The CS GO admins have reviewed the facts and have voted to sustain your ban. If you had a scheduled match, then whats the point of joining the server for less than five minutes? Just doesn't add up. Most everyone knows you are a good person and an amazing player, but hopefully you can come back knowing that you need to accept a challenge rather than taking the easy way out, whether you like CT more or not. You will be eligible to appeal on 1/4/13.

    Locked.
