ARMA 3 Ban Appeal - zDk

I've recently picked up ARMA 3 about 2-3 weeks ago and I've been playing on a few different servers, all under the same name - zDk.

Recently (past week or so) been playing more consistently in the TPG server because it has a constant flow of people (regulars) and admin control. Not really sure when this started but recently (past few days I would say) I've been called a hacker - lol statement to begin with. I think people are too fast to hop on the gun when they die and proclaim hacks.

Now no insult to the people who call me hackers -- you can think what you want, in the ends it's a game I enjoy playing.

I've had maybe... two good days? I went on an insane kill streak one time, don't even think it was in the TPG server from just sniping players who kept respawning at Airstation Mike and blitzing me. The other day was basically when I first got called out while defending Camp Rogain with a group of players I lasted for around ~30 minutes before getting swamped with players. Initial hackusations came out because it's really difficult to sit ontop of a building and 3P and peak up for kills, I mean especially when I have team mates to call out people vaulting over the backwalls -- it's difficult as you can tell.

Yesterday I got another hackusation when I vaulted into Camp Rogain and killed around 5 players all sitting around a helicopter/hunter, maybe within a 10-15 second period because no one was even firing back, just sitting ducks.

I just wanted to show you the actual scenarios for why people thought I was hacking.

Anyways onto the main point, I played today, got maybe 3-4 kills at a base (not even sure which one) and then I went afk for 25 minutes after respawning. Came back and was banned.

Now I'm unsure as to what the reason for the ban was, I'm assuming it's hacking related because that's as far as I know, the only rule I would be breaking if I was actually hacking.

However I am just curious as to why I was banned and if it was for hacking I feel as it's unjust, would just like to hear the other side of it.

You are pretty much spot on with your post. Several of us have been watching you for the past several days and we question the integrity of your game play. The consensus is that you are using a player placement or position hack. You seem to always know where every player is when you are either defending or advancing on a camp or position. Even from distances where that player would not normally be seen. You are able to do this when you have other players (friends) around you and when you are alone. You are always pointed in the right direction no matter what and the only way you die is when enough players swarm you that you can't kill enough of them before you die. Trust me, this has nothing to do with killing me or anyone else. I am not that good of a player and I die all the time. It also has nothing to do with killing a player that vaulted in but does have to do with you being lined up at the ready before they are ever visible. I have spent many hours in third person on the top of the building at Rogain and I am well aware of what you can and can not see.

I initiated your ban for a combination of reports by other admin as well as my own assessment while watching you for more than 30 minutes.

FYI going AFK for 25 minutes and taking up a spot on our server is not something we would appreciate in the future.

Is there anything else you would like to add before I put your unban request up for a vote?

Thank you for answering my questions. I was just under the impression I was banned for aimbotting because that's the general hackusation I received.

To just address the point about rogain: I sat on a corner where you can see literally every single direction from. All I needed assitance from was the backwall which was covered by a cargo crate and I had 2 team mates set up to watch if anyone else vaulted over the wall.

However I will not argue against you for whatever choice you want to make, I respect any final decisions regarding your administration and your server.

Anyways, sorry for AFKing for that long -- meant to go get food and lasted a bit longer then I thought it would.
