Thread: ARMA 3 Ban

Hello.

I am a regular to your ARMA 3 server, as well as a few of my friends.
I am not used to playing Independent and I had no idea you could not use side chat. I started talking trash to another player jokingly and someone started screaming at me to stop talking on side chat. I asked why and then got kicked. I rejoined instantly and started typing in side chat, asking why I was kicked and I said that I had no idea I could not talk on side chat. I said that it is rude to kick someone without confronting them first and telling them that they are doing something wrong. I was then banned without warning.
So, if someone could please unban me so I can get back to enjoying this game... Please do so :) It's not fun being the victim of admin abuse!

Also, I am sorry if I broke some sort of rule. Once I am unbanned I won't talk in team chat or trash talk.

You are correct in the reason you got banned but you are not being honest with your story. Use of side chat is permitted even when playing independent but not if you are going to act like a 2 year old and spam the channel with useless garbage. We had 25 people playing indy at the time and when you spam side you stop all communications for that entire team. No one should have to tell you that something like this is against the rules should they? You knew you were being a jerk. I had to scream at you because you were talking so much that a normal tone would not have made it to your ears.

You are also full of shit in that you did not ask why you could not use it. When you finally heard me screaming to stop you decided to challenge me and ask me "what are you going to do about it", "are you going to kick me"? You asked that several times. I should have banned you right then but decided to just give you what you were begging for and kick you off the server.

The only honest part of your story is the part where you got banned. Instead of coming back to the server and moving on with the game you decided you wanted to try and tell me how to do my job. Then I banned you. You were not abused in any way. You acted like a child and you got treated like one.

Here at TPG no one gets to ultimately decide to keep you banned. You will get a vote before all the ARMA3 admin. I do however suggest that you be honest in how things happen. Do you want to stick to your original story or do you have anything else to add?

Let's see.. I wasn't acting like a two year old, that right there is very unprofessional of you to say. I came in and was talking trash, which I thought was common place in M rated first person shooters. Someone SCREAMED at me, so, I did not assume that it was an administrator screaming at me because I thought administrators were more professional then that, and I started trash talking the person that screamed at me. In every other server I had ever been on people could talk in side chat as much as they wanted without fear of getting banned. I started saying "What are you going to do about it?" because I thought it was just some random guy screaming his brains out at me. I was then banned with out warning.
I played in TeamPlayerGaming nearly every day with my friends, and played very well. I come in one day and trash talk a little bit over side when I first get in just to get a little blood boiling, only to have some administrator lose his mind over his microphone and ban me without warning.
There, that is what I would like to add to my story. You are an administrator on a video game, not the king of the universe. You need to learn how to act professional and not like a hormonal child.

Oh, and yeah... I came back in to the server and said that it was very rude to just kick someone without some sort of warning and I would stop talking in side chat. I said I would STOP what I was doing and you banned me any ways because you were so upset that someone was bothered by you abusing your authority and being unprofessional.

That is the story 100% and I have already apologized and said it would not happen again.
