Thread: CSGO Unban Request

#1. Why do you think you got banned?

I was moved by an admin from CT to T side. Gotcha was calling and he has an accent and speaks with a soft voice that I admittedly don't completely understand sometimes, especially when there is a lot of buying going on at the start of the round. I heard a call to split A, top 5 mid to spawn to A and the rest straight A. I was top 5 and went to their spawn to A and was last man up vs 2 guys and lost the round.

Next round I hear a similar call to split B, mid-way through the call after getting picks mid while pushing to Jail I hear complaints that nobody went straight B so I reverse and go straight B with 2-3 other guys and am last or second last to die because I rotated back to help make the split more effective. Keep in mind that with an AWP you will move slower than anybody else on the team, and if you want to shoot anybody you have to stop and stand still briefly, which typically does put you behind others on a push.

After this round I see an admin warning message "Rad follow the call" - upon seeing this I question it on the mic and ask how was I not following the call, why are you always picking on me, and I bet it was max.

Before I could finish my sentence I was banned.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?

I was playing for about 30 minutes on CSGO East server. Played a few rounds on Mirage and then about 5 rounds on Season before getting banned. I don't know who banned me. As I stated above, I've had issues now for 2-3 months with MadMax and that would have been my original assumption, but the guessing game of who banned me is not much fun for the person who was banned.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?

I feel like I've been singled out by a specific admin who has an ax to grind with me. He stalks me on the servers and forces me to play on his team, and then calls me out whenever he can - accusing me of not following calls.

I follow calls, so that is not a legitimate argument here. I think the admin got upset that I vocalized my frustration on the mic, and if you want to ban me for that then make it a kick or a temporary ban to cool me off. Don't make me come here and grovel in front of the board to try and prove your point that I don't follow calls by admitting guilt for something I did not do.


#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.

I'm a team player, I contribute to this community, I act as an ambassador and steward of TPG both on the servers and outside of the servers. I would like to know why I was banned and if I am in the wrong I will apologize and adjust my behavior accordingly.

Hello Rad, thanks for taking the time to make an unban request. You are correct that I banned you.


On de_season, you were switched to attempt to balance the teams, and you became the top player on the scoreboard on T side.
On the round you were banned, the call was to take mid, top 5 going mid to B and everyone else turn around and go straight B. As we get to mid, **!D!** asked where top 5 where going and I clarified. After some shooting, the lower half of the team turns around to hit straight B per the call. As we are almost in B, Depth says over voice, "We have nobody going mid B".

So I start looking for who is not following the call, while still rushing. We get mowed down rushing B and I get a chance to check the map. And I see you near last in line straight B. Clearly not following the call. So I put up a simple warning "Rad, follow the call."

To which you reply over voice, "What the fuck did I do man? Who's fucking calling me out for doing some- This is bullshit, quit picking on me. I know its fucking MadMax, get over it dude."

So I banned you for admin disrespect and calling out an admin in-game. You have been here long enough to know that it is against the rules to argue with/against the admin and to call one out.

I can assure you that I am not the only admin who notices you being a non-teamplayer. In fact, just a week ago multiple admins were in agreement that you toe the line when it comes to following the call and rushing with your team, sometimes blatantly just stepping aside to get to the back of the rush.

As a regular, you are held to a higher standard. A temporary ban or kick is not going to happen because you do need to explain your actions and recognize what you are doing wrong.

I'd say not. The way you play the game does not inspire a new (or old) player to be a teamplayer. The only message your playstyle sends to others is that its okay to hang back, bait teammates, not follow the call, etc.

But it is not ok. The call is above personal KDR.

I could not disagree with you more on this subject. You really are blinded by your hatred for me, and it's unfortunate.

That really bums me out that you would think I would do that. I'm not that kind of a player at all.

I normally have a lot of respect for you, but your lack of maturity here is really not what I expect out of an admin on such a respected community as TPG. If you want to talk about holding me to a higher standard, then I really turn the question to you - is your judgment in this case infallible? Are you omnipotent that you understand every nuance of every play?

If nobody was rushing straight B on that call then why would you single me out as the trouble maker? Obviously it was a broken play and there was confusion or you would have seen 4 other guys rushing straight B. Is this even grounds for a direct warning calling me out? No. It's you taking it personal on me because you don't like me or the way I play the game. This is truly a shame.

You won't discuss this matter with me or debate it in a civilized manner, but to prove your point you ban me and now we can't discuss it as equals or in a proper manner because I must assume some level of guilt or you won't unban me.

I'm sorry, but I think you're in the wrong here and I assume no guilt. Let the others decide.

You didn't read my post correctly, the issue on the call was that not all of the top 5 (specifically you) rushed mid to B as per the call. The other top 5 either actually rushed mid or were already dead so it was impossible to tell what they did. You, on the other hand, were still alive and definitely in the wrong spot.

You can claim persecution, but perhaps the reason why its me that takes action is because I play a lot (more exposure to you) and take administrative action often as the ranking admin in-game. Others would have done the same if they were in my position.

And you are correct, I do not like the way you play, nor do a lot of other admins. To quote Ira from the thread you linked,

Seems to fit the situation. I gave my stance on the issue in this same thread. It was clear as day. Further discussion about that specific occurrence seemed pointless, as you didn't even acknowledge the fact of what happened on that map (evidenced by your PM). --- I genuinely believed I was at the time. If I've done something wrong I would appreciate a more thorough discussion (offline) to hear both sides so that we may better understand each other. I've reached out in the past to do this, but maybe we're not hearing each other.

Did you argue with and then call out an admin?

--- I did, and calling out the admin was wrong. I knew better than to do that.

Do you still 'assume no guilt'?

--- If I didn't follow that call verbatim and an adjustment given the circumstances mid-round was unacceptable behavior then I am sorry. I also apologize for calling out the admin. I was upset at being singled out so quickly when I was only trying to help the team after being moved over to the other side.
