Requesting an unban in Arma 3

I’m requesting an unban from both teamplayergaming #1 and #2 servers. I have been trying several different servers since being banned and teamplayergaming is my favorite ones. My friend is upset that I have been banned and ask me to just ask for the unban.

I am not exactly sure why I was banned or the exact day it was. I’m thinking it was about a month ago now, anyways I have read other ban post and I am guessing the same thing happened to me. I was walking on the Stratis airbase field and saw an attack helicopter sitting there so I got in it. I short flew over the gun store and proceed to pass going towards Camp Rogain when out of nowhere I was kicked out of the server and a message appeared that I was banned. After that I went to #2 and played a while having fun as usual and logged off for the night. The next day I returned to #2 and it said I was banned their too.

I am sorry for taking so long to ask for an unban request but I felt as if this process was too strenuous. I am happy to provide any necessary information about myself that will be needed to be unbanned from your servers. I just want to play with my friend on the same server. My steam Account Name is “DraconianBlake” and VAC Status is “In good standing”. My player name in Arma 3 is “Rat Man”: Arma 3 ID “76561198073370011”. I have not been banned from any other server in Arma 3. I have not cheated and curse all the people that ruin the game for others. In my case, I was not aware that the heli was a target. Also, I’m not sure how to obtain my steam ID other than the account name.

Hello Rat Man,

I was your banning admin. You were banned for operating a hacked-in Mi-48 helocopter. We do not allow the use of hacked vehicles on our server; it constitutes cheating and goes against the first rule on our rule list. Please see: ARMA 3 Server Rules and Policies

We do not distinguish between those using the vehicle and the one that spawned it in when we issue a ban. Is there anything you would like to add before I start your vote?

I understand that it is a tough job trying to keep the hackers out but is there another solution to banning everyone? I had just spawn in on the airbase and had no idea that heli was a hacked in one. Can there be another way of telling if the person is the hacker or a victim?

I will absolutely not be getting into obvious looking bait anymore. If I see something suspicious I'll ask or I'll just leave it alone now. Lesson learned.

That is all we ask is that people be a little more suspicious of obvious signs of scripted in vehicles. Armed vehicles (except boats) only spawn during main objectives. Usually we try to warn and kick if obvious hacking is not discovered. The problem that night was that you got caught up in several vehicles being hacked into the server at one time and the decision was made to remove every violation found in a short time to attempt to locate the scripter. Thanks for understanding and posting your unban request. Your vote has already been submitted to the admins and you should get an answer shortly. I will post the results as soon as they come in. Vote can last up to 3 days.

Thank you for understand my position and allowing the vote to continue. Are there other ways to look at the log files to see who is scripting in the hack vehicles? This way innocent people can have backup.

Since the game is still in Beta form there is a limited amount to be done, especially "on the fly" as the situation called for at the time. Understand that the main objective as admins is to keep the peace and maintain an enjoyable gaming environment for the majority of the people on the server.
