Thread: Unban Request - CSGO

#1. Why do you think you got banned?
I was banned for not reacting in time to a couple warnings sent out by an admin to change my name. My name at the time on a different steam account was "lllllllIIIllIIIIIlllI". The issue was not that it was an offensive name, but that there was another player in the server with me with almost the exact same name. This made it hard for admins to tell us apart in case they needed to take action against us, although that was not the reason we came into the server under those names.


#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?
I was on the main TPG CS GO server. The admin that issued the ban seems to be Madmax, although there were a few others present in previous maps played.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?
If I had noticed the 1st warning sent out, I probably would have reacted sooner. At the time of the ban, the server was down to a 4v4, but I had played 2 maps on the server right before this while it was full with no issues with admins. The warnings came on the 3rd map in a 4v4 as I said, and I missed the 1st one which resulted in me staying in the server too long after I finally noticed the 2nd warning. I know I missed the 1st one because I talked to Max after and he told me he sent two. If I had seen the original warning this probably never would have happened, or if I left the server a minute earlier. The point of joining the server as we did was to remain anonymous to the players in the server and just play, not to disrupt the server. I should also note that the other player with the similar name (you know who it was) left the server after the 2nd warning so technically at the time there was no problem telling us apart if I had done something wrong like not following a call etc..


#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.
Team play and general rules have never been an issue for me, so of course there shouldn't be any issues there in the future. As for the names, yeah I can just chose a different name that doesn't conflict with another player if I want to join the server incognito again.
