Thread: Request to Get Unbanned

I've played BF4 over 340 hours and this is the only server I have been banned from.

I believe this is why I got banned. I joined a small game, with less than eight people. I joined with three friends to try and unlock some weapons (we were killing each other to get some of the more difficult unlocks). I assumed that these small game servers were to help get unlocks easier. I didn't realize that people were trying to play these small games. I was banned for not attempting to play the game and just working on the unlocks. My three other friends did not get banned however.

I don't remember the name of the server or the admin. Also, I didn't get killed or kicked first. For some reason, I was banned instantly. A warning such as a kill or kick would have been nice.

If I get unbanned, I promise not to do anything to get banned in the future. I just want to play the game and have fun.

I was the Admin who banned you. Thank you for coming here and clearing this up.

First off......What do you mean by "small game servers"? Our server is the full 64 player model. Just because there were fewer players on at the time doesn't mean it's small. It means we were priming, and I can assure you that it doesn't take long to fill. And yes.....even with a smaller population, it's game-on.

Second....Please explain further the killing your friends to get unlocks business. How does that work, exactly?

And Third....Were you the only one of your friends banned?

Just as an FYI, We are a teamplay server. When you join in, we expect you to be actively pursuing the objectives and working with your team. We are not here to provide a sandbox to dig for shiny new weapons, no matter how many people are playing.

What you were doing was Stat-Padding, and it is cheating. We cannot (per EA's EULA for server providers) and will not promote or tolerate stat-padding on our servers. Had I seen your friends padding, I would have certainly banned them as well.

Also, to answer your question about banning versus kicking, it depends. With a ban, not only does it immediately solve whatever problem, but it gives us a chance to explain ourselves here in the forums, rather than disturb the other players on the server who are just trying to get their game on. It gives us the opportunity to pull the player aside, and explain whatever it is that is upsetting us, and make sure we are being fully understood. It is NOT a punishment. Maybe putting "Fuck you admin. There are better servers out there" in chat didn't help your cause any. I would highly suggest an appology for our volunteer admins who will be voting on wether you are allowed back or not.

Since you have been completely honest, and I think that you understand why you are here, I will put up a vote for you among the admins. If allowed back, I would expect that you follow the rules of the server (found here: BF4 Server Rules ). Your vote will last no more than three days, and you can check this thread for any updates.

I don't believe I posted any profanity towards an admin EVER during BF4 chat. I know being a game server admin is a thankless job. Once I admitted in chat that I wasn't there to play the game, I was banned right away. I didn't have an opportunity to say anything else during the chat.

Well I didn't remember it going down that way. Again, my apologies. That is certainly not my normal character.

I've already been banned for several months. I just hope you don't decide to permanently ban me for one stupid mistake. I let my friends talk me into doing the unlocks. I knew it was wrong and I shouldn't have done it.

I'll respect whatever decision you make.
