Thread: Neorift33 - Ban Appeal

#1. Why do you think you got banned?
I am aware of what caused my ban.

I said a word, in chat, that was deemed racist or offensive by an admin who felt it necessary to issue a ban. The word was "ni**a". I honestly was not aware that TPG considers this a racial slur. I know that "-er" on the end of the word is a very, very horrible word but am one of the last people who should ever be considered as racist. My fiance is african-american for goodness sake.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?

This server: TeamPlayerGaming.com BF4 - Normal - All Maps - Active Admins - Multiplayer - Battlelog / Battlefield 4

Zoran is the admin who actually issued the ban but I believe he is in agreement that an immediate ban without first speaking with me like an adult to explain why it was a problem, is a tad extreme.

I understand that TPG does, and must, run a tight ship. However, I believe that the fact that I am on your server literally every day and promote the server whenever I can should have been taken into consideration before such a harsh decision was made. I am an adult and can handle being told I am wrong or that I made a mistake, I only ask for the courtesy of being told if that's the case.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?

I am truly sorry if I did offend anyone but it was absolutely not my intent. If someone was offended then an honestly ashamed for uttering such an offense. I have no problem with any race, religion, sexual preference, whatever. People are people to me and that is all I see.

Perhaps my last paragraph should go here as well. I will just state it again:

I am on your server literally every day and promote the server whenever I have the chance. On my website, to my friends in real life and friends in-game, where ever I can. Heck, I'm even in the TPG platoon! I would never, ever intentionally jeopardize my ability to play on the server or my friendships with you guys.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.

I can absolutely guarantee that never shall I do anything such as this again. Now that I am clear on TPG's definition of what is offensive. I feel just terrible that a word that I uttered offended someone. Especially to extent of warranting a ban. So, to that player I sincerely apologize and to TPG I am sorry. Plain and simple. It was a mistake but rest assured a mistake that I just learned from.

I humbly ask that I am unbanned so that we can continue to have good times together in game.

Hey Neo,

Thanks for posting and speaking to me on battle log. I was the banning admin.

At TPG you know we run a tight ship. We as admins have to take action first when a rule is broken. Then we take it to the forums like you posted above.

I will be posting in the admin section to give other admins the chance to read your post and vote. This should take no longer then 3 days. In this case with it being clear and honest, it should be way less. Check back here.
