My name is --sK--ryPta-- and I was recently banned from your BF4 server

#1. Why do you think you got banned?

I was 57-0 on Dragon Pass at the time of my ban. The ban message stated the following: "Game disconnected: you have been banned from this server. Stated reason: Hacking with the MAA - Go to the forums to appeal. (Allane176)".


#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?

#3. Why should you be unbanned?

I do not hack. I am an experience vehicle driver and pilot in BF4.

I have never hacked in this game or any other and I will not hack in the future. I'm not sure what else I can say here.

I was your banning admin. Thank you for taking the time to read the rules and procedure.

I banned you because your performance with the 30mm gun on the Mobile Anti-Air was highly suspicious. I would like you to take a look at the hard stats for the 30mm gun on the MAA, referenced from Symthic.com: BF4 MAA Weapon stats - BF4 Vehicle data | Symthic.

So, the 30mm gun starts with 0 spread on the first shot. That's acceptable and I can live with that. After the very first shot, the spread decreases to 0.53, which is less accurate than even the bullpup PDWs, that is to say is completely inadequate at the 200-300 meter ranges you were shooting from.

Let's break this down: a spread reduction of 5 means a reduction in spread of 5 per second, it's what allows tap firing to work as well as it does. A spread reduction of only 5, however, doesn't allow for a very good recovery in accuracy in tap firing. The damage per bullet of the 30mm gun is also 17, which means you would have to score 6 hits in order to kill infantry. This means that it would take a good number of shots in order to take infantry down.

Now, where I take issue is the combination of range and un-magnified optics combined with the spread increase of the 30mm gun. Achieving a 35% hit ratio for an entire round with even the 30mm gun is extremely hard to do given the way the gun works. The only way to consistently achieve a spread that allows for sniping with that 30mm would be through immense practice or through a script.

I discussed this with --sK--ryPta-- ex parte. I asked him to explain his perspective on the issue, and he explained to me that his accuracy was inflated by his previous use of the bomber and use of a Main Battle Tank. At around 10 to 15 kills, he switched from those two vehicles to the Mobile Anti-Air. He acknowledges that he feels his accuracy with the Mobile Anti-Air's 30mm gun is pretty high, which is fair in my book.

Due to the way that Battlelog tracks accuracy, there is no way to tell what the true accuracy was with the 30mm gun.
