Thread: Banned? BF2

just some quick things I did in my spare time, and a sig to go with them!

Hey guys.

I have been playing on TTP for the last two months or so. It is the best server I have found for BF2 so far... All the players are really good, squads are used, etc. It is just fun.

Anyways, the reason I am posting this message is because I was banned from the server today for excessive team killing. I was NOT intentionally team killing though - shit just went wrong and I accidentally killed three players from my team. I was kicked ( and it said banned) after killing some people in a helicopter who were coming back to repair at an aircraft carrier. I was manning the gun in the rear of the aircraft carrier and was shooting a jet when the helicopter came into my sights. It was already at low health, so I destroyed it (killing the occupants as well) within a couple of seconds. Like I said, this was not an intentional TK. Maybe some of the regular players know me, and if they have seen my play, they can vouch for me. I play under the screen name C0MMONER (first O is a zero).

The message said to appeal the ban here if I wanted, so that is what I am doing. I really enjoy playing on your server and would hate to see it end over something like this.

I saw that right after I posted the message. Thanks for the heads up.

#1. Why do you think you got banned?
I was banned for accidentally shooting down a helicopter. The details are best described in the message above. It was just dumb luck that it happened that way.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?
I was on the TTP BF2 server. I have no idea which admin banned me. I am unsure which players are admins in general. I usually play BF2 at 9:30PM - Midnight Pacific time, so if there is a specific admin that is normally on during those times, it was most likely them. This incident occurred tonight (6/22)

#3. Why should you be unbanned?
The TK was an accident. I do not intentionally TK in BF2.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.
I rarely TK in BF2 (mostly just hand grenade accidents), but I will be more careful about how I present myself and play on your server. I understand the hard work you guys have put in to make TTP be the premier BF2 server, and I would not intentionally take that away by TK'ing.

Your ban was temporary...... The bans are not usually temporary but your was...... Let it be known, that we take Rule infractions real serious..... Make sure you read the Rules and Regs while you are here and maybe even check out the forums and make some post..... Anyway, your ban has expired and you should be able to connect now.
