Witches and regular infected have a sphere radius where a timer starts as soon as you step on it, and of course, only if you can see the witch/infected too. The timer for witches goes slowly back to zero when you leave the area, but infected keep on going and attack anyway in an unexpected way. Flashlights really do affect the timer for the witch but only within this radius, if you are 1 pixel away from the radius and turn your light on her face she won't tell a diference. As for infected I don't know, because every one of them have a random timer from 1 to 4 seconds.

Flashlight has nothing to do with your outline appearing.

I think he needed a comma. The flashlight going off is just, I assume, to keep you visually hidden i.e. not outline necessarily, just seeing you in general.

what things effect ur outline? I know running does...i think talknig does..not sure about flashlights...

You can walk or move in a crouch and still stay hidden. If you shoot, melee, speak (mic or emotes), or run they can see your outline. Flashlight doesn't have any effect on it.

lol but it does kinda make a dark corner pointless while having it on ;) hence why i have it off :rofl:
