Banned, don't know why.

#1. Why do you think you got banned?

No idea. Played all of 15 mins or so. As soon as I joined, I squaded up. About 10 mins into it, the Squad Leader left, and I was made the SL. That should be able to be verified from the logs. This just occured (4:11pm PST).

I had in-game (Commander Map) orders to attack Silo 5, we did. The silo was taken collectively by other members in other squads w/i 2 mins. So I redirected our focus back on the enemy Titan.

I then saw "Kicking Apokalupsis due to failure to follow Commander Orders".

I didn't have the mic turned on. I forgot to turn on VOIP when I joined the server. I've not played in about a month, I needed to tweak some settings, but figured I'd do it after the round was over.

The only thing I can think of, was that the Commander issued a verbal order this time, vs an in-game order, and I didn't hear it. Because of that...I'm banned though? Please clarify. I don't know what happened.

That...OR orders were given right after I died. I took that time to help my daughter put on a DVD to watch, went to the restroom...took all of 60-90 seconds. I came back to play, spawned, attacked the enemy Titan, then was banned.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?

BF2142. No idea who banned me, no idea which admins were present. Some BF guys were in the game though...that's all I recall seeing. Like I said, it's been a bit over a month since I've played, I just jumped in, and w/i 15 mins, I'm out.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?

I don't know what I did wrong. I did not purposefully violate any rules.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.

I have no problem with doing so, but I have absolutely no clue why I was banned. I saw a brief text statement pop-up on the screen saying I was going to be kicked. Apparently, if there was a reason provided, I missed it.

Thanks for posting in the required format. Chances are, the commander was indeed issuing orders over the comms, and you couldn't hear them. Following orders from the commander is taken very seriously on this server, so you may have been kicked or banned for that reason.

I had a commander who will go nameless ask for an admins assistance.

As I was a squad leader I spoke to him via mic.

He complained that you were not following orders.

I personally heard him ask your squad and eventually demand your squad to follow orders several times.

I believe the quote he kept using was to "stop attacking the enemy titan and stay on silos"

So when the commander asked for assistance in this regard I complied.

As you were the Squad leader and the commander confirmed it for me you got kicked.

You were not following orders which is a kick / ban offense.

I only kicked you and you should be able to join the server.

It seems to me we got to the root of the problem already.

you didn't have your mic on.

Squad leading without a mic is also a kick / ban offense.

I have no doubts what so ever that had you been fully aware ( which you should be by your forum post count) this would never have occurred.

It was only a kick and you should be good to go.

Make sure to have the mic going when you are going to squad lead again.

If for some reason you are still having trouble logging in post here so it can be looked into.

OK, thanks for the explanation, makes sense.

However, it all just happened so quickly. I didn't want or intend to be a squad leader whatsoever. It's been a while since I've played, so I went in as a regular squad member. The system made me the squad leader due to our current one at the time, leaving. I suppose I could have just quit that squad.

I realize the issue was no VOIP. I believe I turned it off last time I played (over a month ago) on a different server because the squad just talked about random crap that didn't have anything to do with the game and I just never re-enabled it.

VOIP is usually on. It was a fluke of circumstances that ended up having a snowball effect apparently.
