ok in no mercy, the second to last level, the one before the rooftop finale, in the safehouse there is writing. The safehouse is the one where you start in. OK if you look at some walls, you will see writing. It says "Today I killed..." then a bunch of numbers. Here is the interesting part. Below that it says "53,595. LIARS" Thats the same number of zombies that you have to kill for the achievement. Hmmmm

Also if I'm not mistaken, that number is also the population of the town that Dead Rising is set in, I maybe wrong there, but I know that it is in the 50k region.

yeah, thats how they got the aheivement. Also i realized that dead air is an aheivement in sho no numa for nazi zombies. Wow thats weird

The "Dead Rising" Achievment is called Zombie Genocider, and the number is 53,594 Zombies, which is rumored to be the entire population of Wiliamette (The ficitional Colorado town this game is set in) Except for 1 Person.

It is an achievemnet in Dead Rising named Zomibe Genocider if im not mistaken,
the task is the exact same but on less zombie to kill. so 53,594

In addition, Prototype goes one further, with an achievement being unlocked for killing 53,596 infected.

Seems the trend to one up each other has been halted, due to their being no "Kill X amount of zombies" in L4D2.

To be fair having it in L4D2 wouldn't have the same charm, but it could certainly be continued by another zombie game.
