w00t, snow!
Video forecast from a local TV station
Very rarely do we get a foot of snow were I live..:D
Looking forward to this storm...hopefully we don't get much ice. I'm hoping it covers the backroads for a few days, that way I can ride my ATV on the roads without the law bothering me too much about it.
This does kinda screw me on finding replacement parts for my car though. >(
BTW that forecast is a little off...the amount of expected snow is now up to 2 feet in some areas and 1 foot where I live. If it snows that much it'll be the most snow I've seen on the ground in my life. :D Normally I HATE winter weather and the cold but as long as it isn't ice/sleet I will enjoy it.

Urg... I hate snow. More snow = more work for me... sucks.
Let them hate me, so long as they fear me...

What type of work do you do? Or are you talking about work around the house?
I'm enjoying it despite the pain in the ass it is. We scrapped all the family drive ways today with the tractor (I live on a farm and so does most of my family). Had to shovel a bunch of snow off the walk ways around the houses. The grandparent's house was a pain but eventually it got done.
The road I live on is 100% passable now but all secondary roads in the area have yet to be scrapped. They are passable if you know how to drive in the stuff though...most people around here don't.
We got a little under a foot of snow...around 9 - 10 inches or so. Most I've ever seen on the ground at one time. It was also one of the few times in my life that I've ever seen a real "snow storm", in other words lots of snow falling with no freezing rain/sleet.
My knee is telling me this isn't the last we'll see of the stuff either. It looks like we might see some more snow in my area on Christmas Eve.
Only complaint I have about the whole situation is my left knee hurts like hell. Both my knees are in really bad shape due to playing hockey and football when I was kid. My left knee can predict bad weather for some reason...always starts to hurt a day or two before we have a bad snow or ice storm. If there is rain coming I can predict that too but usually only a few hours before it gets here.
Edit - Seems I'm not alone: http://www.everydayhealth.com/knee-p...d-weather.aspx

Thank God the wood shed isn't far at all from the house. Otherwise, hauling the wood from the shed to the house would be a PAIN. IN. THE. ASS.
