Banned for accidental TK tonight (BF2)
Hey guys,
I was just on the server for a few hours and about 5 minutes ago I was banned from the server for a 100% accidental TK. The map was Wake Island and we were probably about 10 minutes into the 2nd half of the map and was extremely bored. I was doing donuts in a jeep and accidentally ran over a teamate, who was squaded with me. I immediately apologized over VOIP, ran over to his player, grabbed his medic kit and revived him. The player I accidentally ran over was Super Quake2holic. I thought everything was fine after I apologized and we both got in the chopper still when it respawned. I don't know who banned me but I'd appreciate if you gave me the benefit of the doubt next time something like this happens. It was pretty clear I had NO intent of running him over considering I was talking to him over VOIP at the time (in the same squad) and I got right out of the jeep, grabbed his medic kit, revived him, and then proceeded to apologize over VOIP several times. I was in the wrong camera mode when I was doing donuts so I didn't see him infront of me (rear cam mode.)
I'm not whining about admin abuse but I'd appreciate it if you'd try to find out the intent of a questionable TK before you ban a regular. If the TK was questionable and it was by a regular who's on the server every day then simply ask the two people involved if they felt the TK was accidental or not instead of instantly banning the person. Chances are in that scenario it WAS an accident.
Time of ban: 12:05am CST
Player name: hutch1nssss
Player ID: 76011585
Server: BF2 64 Player Main Server
Stats: http://battlefield.ea.com/battlefiel...ileid=76011585
I feel I should be unbanned for several reasons. The first reason is that I feel I was unjustly banned. The TK was accidental and I did everything in my power to show that it was accidental and to apologize for my actions immediately.
I promise to follow the rules on the server, but if accidental teamkills are against the rules I must say that I will not be able to comply with that. TK's happen all the time accidentally, especially with me because I'm a Jet/Helicopter whore. If they aren't against the rules then I WILL FOLLOW ALL OF THE RULES ON THE SERVER.
Thank you,
Hutch

Hutch1nsss I was your banning admin. You state what you did was an accidental TK and from what I saw it wasn't. What I saw, looking directly at you, was you doing "donuts" and then turn right and drive straight into your teammate. To give you a perspective you were doing "donuts" on the road out of the airstrip going to beach between the outside row of buildings closest to the flag on the Chinese airfield and the heli pad. Once you turned right, you drove a fair distance running over your teammate with plenty of time to stop. In my eyes it looked like an intentional TK.
I have a couple of questions that will help me understand some things.
If you are such a teamplayer as you have stated before in your most recent unban thread
I love the team aspect of the game and I'm a real team player on a server that encourages that style of play.

Also I would like to know why every time you've been banned on the server you think it is due to a mistake by the admin?
From your original ban thread the first time you were banned dated 1/20/07 below.
I understand this was a mistake by the banning admin.Originally Posted by hutch1nssss

I went for the revive first and then I took out the enemy who had made his way to the top of that little base (the one next to the AA at airfield, that little bomb protection base.) I then proceeded to get into the chopper with the player I accidentally tked and revived.
The reason I stopped doing donuts was that I was checking my radar to see if there were any enemies coming (I was also in rear cam mode so I couldn't really see what was infront of me.)
I switched sides because I was trying to get on the same team as a buddy of mine (IcePepper.) I switched at the beginning of Wake Island to try and get on his team and at the same time he switched sides (or reconnected and got auto switched) so we were again on opposite teams for the first half of Wake Island. At the end of the first round I switched over to the other side (chinese side again) to get on the same team as him.
I usually don't use the 'sorry' voice response because for quite a long time I didn't have a key binded to even do the command. The key I use now for it is in a bad spot on my keyboard that I have never used for gaming. It's faster for me to either apologize over VOIP or simply type it and I find that it is more sincere to do it that way.
Honestly though, why would I have TKed him intentionally and then run over, grab his kit and revive him? I just don't understand how you could think that it was intentional. We were the only 2 waiting for the chopper, there were no arguments or exchange of text between us, we were squaded together, I revived him right after I tked him, I was not going in a straight line with the jeep and you've acknowledged that I was in fact doing donuts with the jeep... It wasn't like I ran him over to get a chopper/jet either.

The Admin community decided to uphold the decision. You may appeal in 30 days for your last unban request. Also to be noted, we have recieved MULTIPLE complaints on you being a TeamSwitcher and not a TeamPlayer.
Here is a brief example of some of the complaints we get about you not being a TeamPlayer, but a TeamSwitcher for your own personal benefit and screwing the team you were on.

Now understand, you are not the only one, but that doesn't make your situation any better either. You also seem to think that it is always a mistake that you get banned by an Admin that, must have made a mistake. Why don't you just say what you really think instead of insinuating that are admins don't know what they are doing, since they must have made a mistake by banning you?
Bottom line, We really don't think your habbits fit in on our servers. I think you are exploiting our server instead of contributing to the players there and playing as a Team.
We also understand that the only thing you like to do is fly on our server and when you don't get to fly, you just assume wait until there is something to fly, which really doesn't help your team cap flags and defend flag, since you have your thumb up your butt waiting on the pad or in the hangers.
TeamSwitchers because you are on a team that is struggling, well a real TeamPlayer will work with his team and help get them molded to work together and be a better team.
A real loser will switch teams to the other side to pound them in the ground even worse. I know, it takes guts to be a teamplayer and contribute to the team they are working with, regardless if they are winning or not.
Your ban has been sustained and this post has been locked.

Bull$#!7!
I was doing Expert on No Mercy with bots. I did SO well on this, until the finale. Everybody died being too stupid during the last horde before the last Tank, so I managed to take all the horde on, and then fight the Tank by myself and winning. I was feeling so proud of myself! A Boomer tried to ambush me, but I killed it! Yeah! Eat shit! You can't trick me!
Saw a Hunter underneath the landing pad. Knew where he was at, so I kept meleeing waiting for the helicopter. Saw the Smoker straight ahead pacing back and forth.
The helicopter was here. I run for it, but the Hunter got me. Like WTF?! He came from the fucking SATELITTE THIS TIME! WHAT?!?! Seriously. WHAT?!Mincegamer: Crimson is a goldmine of funny quotes.KillerJay: I just realized what Creamy is to everyone; everyone loves him and nobody hates him.

Unlucky.
I do find that the Expert bots to be rather devilishly good at their job. Sometimes, I do believe the AI Director "engineers" your downfall to an extent.
Still, you've done better than I ever have and I consider myself to be an above average L4D player. Although I have beaten the campaigns several times on Expert co-op, I have never done it solo with just bots.
Respect!
