I don't use the Hunting/Sniper on campaign. Using it in Versus though... its absolutely marvelous. Nothing like scoping infected on rooftops and bringing them down to stop their 3-1s. Nothing like sniping Boomers hiding through walls. It isn't affective at all on campaign much especially in higher difficulties where you have to deal with commons who are much tougher than in Versus, and SI really never coordinate their attacks.

The Hunting/sniper rifle are both great weapons, the SR better due to its larger clip, and I enjoy using them on versus and campaign, However, I wouldn't use them on realism, because they require two-three headshots to kill then, and it's easier to make headshots with any of the three assault rifles than it is to with a sniper rifle.

I don't like the grenade launcher. Even though I'm the best user of it, it's not just because I'm not good with it, but because it's not very good for general gameplay. The only time I pick it up would be on the finale on NM, I use it on the tank, and when he is dead I pick up my other primary. Granted, it does have the benefit of being able to instantly kill commons, so perhaps on easy/normal realism it could be used for a good reason.

Everything has their own level of standards. For Xbox 360, maybe what we call hard core sniping is better or worse than what PC gamers call hard core snipers. Vice-versa for the PCs. They're clearly not the same, so even if you do watch videos, you probably wouldn't be impressed, or too impressed, one way or the other.

Hunting rifle is easier to use, as in I don't have to worry about blowing up half my team. My team usually always run around and are scattered near most CI, and that doesn't allow me to shoot my grenade launcher.

The hunting rifle may have a scope but its not supposed to be used as a sniper. From all the times i've used it i've probably only spent 5% of of it using the scope.

I can't really skeet "good" hunters worth shit and i don't have the best aim. But i can stay loose and cover/clear anyone, anytime from any place with the least amount of bullets as possible with the most accuracy.

In my mind, if i can kill at least 1 or 2 SI on every ambush before getting attacked, my work is done. May not always be pretty but it works...
