Banned for un-known reason
Hello All,
I recently found myself banned from this server :o I am not exactly sure why or what had caused the seemingly sudden ban. I normally play on this server quite often, unfortunately the past few weeks my computer has been down, and I only recently got it up and running again. Unfortunately, I managed to lose my ability to use voip!(well, partially voip would go through but it had digital stutter, sounding long and drawn out, with a lot of chop) I tried exhaustively all last week to repair the problem, unfortunately wasn't able to do so. Regardless, I tried to play, and attempted to make do without voip, an exteremely hard task! I tried to communicate through text messages. (a side note, I believe I now have finally rectified the problem...it ended up being service pack 2 for xp pro x64, which automatically installed some updates, and crippled my sound, previously I had started with sp1 and manually updated all the packages
Sorry for digressing.....the story and problem:
I was playing this past week, I don't recall which day, perhaps Thursday, on e-jod desert as MEC. I joined a squad called "anti tank", I spawned in as an engineer, and jumped into the .50 cal position with a 2-man crew tank consisting of squad-mates. Meanwhile, another squadie took a tank alone, and SL requested that I join him in the gunner position, I oblidged.
After being extremely frustrated with an inability to communicate with my driver, and his inability to communicate with me over voip(he didn't have voip working either) I told the squad that I was going to join be on foot, and I left the squad.
some-minutes past....at some point I decided since it was too hard to communicate, I would choose a role which doesn't require much communication, but is still a team asset with the ability to spot targets....a sniper.
so I get the sniper kit, and begin running on foot out of the base, and a tank begins to pull out...
I asked for a ride over the command rose, and began moving towards the tank, as I was within 10 feet of the tank, the .5 gunner or the main gunner jumped out(don't know which) and got tked by the driver. the driver didn't slow down, rotated towards me and full speed ran me over.
either right after I spawned back, or a couple spawns down the line...I requested another sniper kit.
I picked it up, and from a distance saw someone standing near the tank garage, I figured it was probably the lone tanker that ran me over, and having a bitter taste in my mouth for being ran over, I quickly zoomed in and shot one round into the corrugated tin siding, 4 feet from the body of the individual's left, a non-verbal but clear sign of my disaproval of being run over.
I saw the round hit the tin, and the name of the individual popped up...it ended up not being the same guy, but the squad leader I had when I first joined
I was then disconnected and subsequently banned.
I figured it was a temp ban, but today I tried to join, and say that I am still banned.
I would just like some clarification as to the reasoning for my banning?
I searched the entire TTP site, with my name: "ret1", there was nothing showing under that search, except for a post about the top 10 players on the server....I ranked in at #10
I currently rank in at #11
a link to some stats from other servers:

and a link to your server's stats:

Sorry if I have cause any problems to get myself banned,
if I did anything, I assure you, you caught me on an off day and a frustrating lack of voip
voip seems resolved now, so no failure to communicate problems
would appreciate a response
thanks,
Ret

Re: Banned for un-known reason
Ret1, thanks for coming here and taking the time to explain out what happened, but, please read this link and reply here in this thread with the particulars required for Banned individuals to respond with.
After which, your banning Admin will be in here, as soon as is humanly possible, to answer you.
Actually, upon reflection, this is in the wrong forum, can a Mod please move this to "The Banned"...?

Re: Banned for un-known reason
Thanks for the reply, sorry for posing this in the wrong section, I was not certain on the proper location.
After I read your reply, I looked over the process again, and created a new thread, and apparently you move it too....so unfortunately it is double posted there now, sorry again
