Thread: I got banned for no reason...

###|DISCLAIMER|### - This is a very long post, but I would eternally grateful to those here that are senior members and more long timers here to give this a read. I feel this is the best way to get myself as a person to you guys and be able to build some trust with you.

Now that some dust has settled and we can all breathe, I figured I should give myself an intro (I also abhor myself having a first post that isn't meaningful), and here I am.

Short Bio: Born in San Diego, Cali, lived most of my life in San Antonio, Texas, and am now currently residing in Waco, Texas for my education, as I am currently attending Texas State Technical College for an associates in Network Security (and probably Digital Forensics, haven't decided yet). I'm 21, born July 20th (MOON DAY!), do the simple math you know my birth year.


Not so short Bio:

Been doing the computers stuff since I was about 8 or 9, built my first computer when I was around 12 (if my retarded memory serves correctly, which it probably doesn't), haven't bought a pre-fab since (unless it's a lappy, obviously). Also, if you haven't noticed by now, I have a stupid tendency (and I mean STUPID) to use parentheses a LOT.

Living in an old RV (1985) full time right now while I am attending School (cheaper than on campus living), and I bought a new car this weekend and learned how to drive stick as well this weekend. Right now I am having to go off the RV Parks wireless (my lappy is connected to the wireless, and through an ethernet cable my lappy shares the internet connection to my router, which distributes to my Dekstop (this computer) and my wireless devices) because my parks manager still has yet (after being here more than a month) to give me my permanent address so I can get Time Warner out here to connect my Coax from my RV to their coax that is coming out of the ground with no connection on it. It's part of the reason it has taken this long for me to even make a post, because for half this weekend the parks router decided I should be blocked out and receive no IP addresses.

I have been doing games forever, since I was young. My first online game ever was Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, and I thought "lol" was an insult for about a whole month until my mother corrected me (she is one of the Internet elders, like, she literally could be considered a founding mother). She never let me down about it........texting with her can be weird because of it.

I have been with TPG since 2008 (which was, then, known as Texas ...TeamPlayers... (TTP)). I got into them way before I actually joined their forums, I haven't played on many servers that aren't TPG/TTP for YEARS (and at least a year before I joined). Started as an admin for CoD4 with them, which unfortunately fell through eventually. During my time with CoD4 I started as an for the Project Reality server (a mod for BF2), and stayed with that for about a year.

From there I became an admin for BF: Bad Company 2 (technically though, BigDog forced/volunteered me as an admin there before I even owned the game, then I won the game there in a small community contest shortly there-after), and I saw that game go from thriving with four servers, fizzle out with only one, come back to life to two servers, and now finally going steady with one server. I also had a short stint as an admin for Monday Night Combat, which couldn't sustain itself unfortunately, and I also Administrated on the ArmA II server, which had the same difficulty (Also, if anyone wants to play this with me, I would love to, I might even drag/force/threaten bigdog to come along), and I also had a short while with Brink as an admin (we also had a team for TPG compete at QuakeCon for Brink which I was on).

And about a month ago I resigned from my admin duties at TPG (not moderator or other duties, though) for school interest and the fact I wasn't finding myself playing those games much anymore.

I am also one of the members of the Editorial Staff at TPG where we do occasionally publish articles related to gaming (whether game reviews, strategies, gaming hardware, or even gaming life). Quick tidbit, if you get an article published with us, we will give you a reserve slot of your choice for free for a month (per article (two part Articles don't count for two slots)). The Editorial Staff also manages TPGs Social Media outlets (Twitter, FaceBook, youtube, etc.).

For those of you guys here that are writing savvy, we had a great writing series going called Broken Dawn....I think (oh crap, Walkerxes is gonna kill me). It was essentially a collaborative fiction Survival Journal of alter-egos of several of our members. It was a great read, and I am sad it died out. This would be a great place for that to thrive, I think, so if people show an interest here, I will bounce several of those guys over here and we can make it a community thing here.

If any of you go to QuakeCon, I have been the last 3 years, and this year was my first for BYOC. If you saw a computer with a red background that had a flowing motion to it on the screen, that was my computer (it was near the front with the rest of the TPG crew). I plan on going to QuakeCon every possible time I can. I love it, it is addictive.

And to those of you that are concerned about bigdog and the way he runs things, don't read too figuratively into what he says, he tends to be very literal, and doesn't try to bullshit his way around what he wants to say, he is very blunt.

BUT, feel free to insult his mother. I don't think there is a conversation with him I can have without insulting his mother, who, for the record, is a fat slut who would suck my dick for a Tortilla. BTW, big, tell her to come back over. He does have a pretty funny side. Just....don't get him into a position to use videos of bot-flies against you.....that was such a disturbing thread.

So, thanks to those of you who did read this very long, much longer than I expected to make, post. I look forward to working, playing, chatting with all of you.

I'm not a "senior"member. I used to be very active here but left because f the community. Most of the people I don't like left, so I'm hoping for a fresh start with some nice people. I remember when I introduced myself I had a large intro as well lol.

So what are you studying in college? You might of mentioned, im to lazy to check.

Network Security Technology, and I will probably stay for an extra two semesters and get a double for Digital Forensics as well.

Welcome to the forums. I dont use Spotify, cause I dunno what it is. I have also heard the TWC is pretty shitty, even if you do get them, but it must be better than comcast or ranged wi-fi.

Come to think of it, I never made an intro thread myself. Im not going to do it now, or probably ever. Too much hassle.

Must be fun living in an RV. My dream is to live in a hotel room. Dont ask why, I am not exactly sure myself.

I cant comment on the whole part about TPG. I have never been there. Also, does it suck living in Texas like it sucks living here in OK? I have never been down there more than two days.

Personally, I love living in Texas as long as I have an A/C and don't have to walk everywhere (which, up until this weekend, I was having to walk everywhere). It just depends on where you live, because each city really does have its very own flavor and style to it.

If you live next to a river, it's awesome all the time (except in drought, when the flow of the river is a crawl and it starts to feel like grease is on the surface).

TWC I like better than the other options, but I have had my fair share of scuffle with them. I was paying for a booster service with them for 6 months, and it took a Tier 3 tech at my home to tell me I wasn't receiving it at all. When I talked to their customer service and demanded a refund, they said they had absolutely NO RECORD of if I was receiving it or not, then they flat out refused to credit my account for it.

But, my options are have Fast Broadband, or slow DSL.

And Spotify, think of it as Netflix for music, and FREE.

It's interesting living in the RV, I never move it, so scenery doesn't change, but I don't have to have a roommate, I don't have to worry about waking my neighbors for the most part (enough room between spots), and A/C electric costs are pretty cheap.

And as far as TPG, I still post over there, a lot (I am coming up on 11 thousand posts over there), since a lot of my gaming is with people from there, but I want, like bigdog, to see these forums be successful, so I will definitely be putting my fair share of time in here. I can tell you we will most likely adopt some TPG policies and practices, but that will only be because know it works, since we have put it through it's trials over there.

I'm not a senior member, considering that I haven't even been here for a year. lol But welcome anyway. :)
