Request to Unban Mars33172
#1 I started a thread in another forum before trying to rejoin the server and found that I banned for excessive team kills by the admin.
http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?topic=35499.0
I did not have any team kills that I can remember during the round but do not know if TK's are cumulative for TTP servers.  I do not think I have or have had team kills in excess and all have been accidental.  Here are my stats.

#2 I was playing BF2142 Hwy Tampa Titan mode on 4/24/08 at 10:30pm
#3 I am familiar with many TTP folks as I spend most of my game time there and would probably be recognized by several who could attest to my character.  I would hope that these other players would consider me an asset as I strive to follow orders and fulfill the needs of the team and squad.
#4 I promise to refrain from activities that are outside of not only the written rules but the spirit of TTP.
Other than the soldier name of Mars33172, what other information do you need from me provided the 'unban' happens?
  Thank you for your consideration.

Re: Request to Unban Mars33172
you were banned for suspicious play on the titan by me, witnessed by 2 other admins in my squad. Both agreed that not only were you ridiculously fast on the trigger, but your frequency of kills and few number of hits required to make these kills.....close quarters on the titan.......your playstyle was just unnatural.
By the time you reached about 45-10 or so on the KD, we decided to ban you for suspicion of hacking, either by an aimbot, esp, or both. Given you did have a 12ms ping....that's about the only thing that sets you apart from others on the titan.
ban had nothing to do with teamkills.

Re: Request to Unban Mars33172
I understand your concern and the reason why you and the other admins decided to ban but I can assure you that I do not, will not, and have never used any type of hack.  I don't know how I could prove this as I am only somewhat computer literate, but would gladly invite you or any of the other admins to my home to check out my machine.  I'm in sort of a spot because I don't know what you are looking for as proof of my integrity so I will make a list.
1. I love the realism.  I want to experience the game as the makers intended.  I play Gran Turismo on the PS3 because of the "pure" driving experience.  Hacking a stat driven game like BF2142 would only result in one big lie for me, and as you can tell by my stats (K/D 1.34) with a little under 500 hours on the clock, that is simply not the case.
2. BF2142 was my first on-line multi-player game.  The first 100 hours or so I really stunk, as the 'purple-heart' medal clearly illustrates.  It was a mission of mine to stick to it no matter how bad I stunk and improve my game play and over the course of  a year I sunk countless hours into it, much to the frustration of my wife.  I studied amazing players like PASHA Red and picked up strategies and 'moves' to further my skills.
3. My style and movements are based on two things that I learned the hard way: Never stop moving and never be predictable.  Your squad seemed to be bunching up in the lower hallway making it an easy target for nades and alternating attacks from the back deck and cargo bay.
4. Although I am not qualified to say these were factors I will mention them anyway.  I had an excellent ping and my machine (built by my Geek-Squad friend) is pretty fast with 8800GTX, quad core, and 3.5 gigs of DDR2 1066.  Furthermore, I seemed to be experiencing some lag towards the very end of the game although it was sporadic and did not prevent me from continuing.
5. If I had decided to use a hack after 470 hours of play, why would I use it in my own backyard on my favorite server I knew was closely watched?
6. As far as the 'esp' which I have gathered is the ability to see through walls: Didn't need it. ATEXAN&HISGUN had a UAV over the Titan and I simply tracked your movements through the NetBat display.
7.  And finally the personal reasons.  These are dismissable as you do not know me but here goes:  I am a 36 year old district sales manager with a wife and two young children, 7 & 9.  I attend church every Sunday and Wednesday night and am in the choir (I know, I hate it when people throw the 'christian' thing out there but these are desparate times).
I cannot express how intent I am at clearing my name and will offer any information/access to prove it.  I do not consider BF2142 a "game" but an alter ego.  My stats are indication of my strengths, weaknesses and priorities.  If you would care to speak with me in person I will gladly PM phone number or address information.  Please contact me or request additional information if there are any doubts that you still have.
Thank you for your consideration

Re: Request to Unban Mars33172
I checked out your stats, and everything you say is backed up by your stats and play history.
sometimes, you have a good day, and given the dirty filthiness of the game population (where ~10% of ALL players are cheating in some fashion), sometimes we have to make quick decisions for the sake of the overall good and quality of play.
I have submitted your unban request, with my recommendation to unban, to the 2142 admins, who will vote over the next few days. Once a definitive result is obtained, you will be informed of the outcome.
your professionalism and understanding is a breath of fresh air in the online gaming world. you understand the game, you know your own merits and capabilities, and you are as upfront and honest as we could ever hope.

Your response has lifted a weight off my shoulders. Thank you for looking into this and I look forward to future games on TTP servers.

Mars33172,
Your ban has been overturned by a majority vote of the 2142 administrators. Let me know if you have any problems connecting, and we'll see you on the server.
