    Appeal of upheld ban.

    I was banned here http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?topic=32343.0 on 03/12/08.

Tonight I was able to connect to TTP for some reason, but I figured I'd better ask and then was told that I should come here to appeal my ban.
I'm sorry for telling an admin to fuck himself, though I do still contest at least part of the official story.

    Wont happen again, I promise.

I've played at random pub servers for the last 2 months and it sucks because people play stupid and FF is off everywhere. I miss playing at TTP, nearly everyone I met here was cool as hell and the play is always fun.

Steam ID is: 0:0:9369380 if you want to be nice and unban me :)

    Thanks,
    Postman

Are you saying you were able to connect to the css main, css top5, and the gungame server?

It could have been a temp ban, but we do need to check in with the Admins and check your status.

You posting and letting us know is a plus.

You indeed were perma banned from our CS servers. We appreciate you taking the time to come back and make an appeal. I will start a vote for you and it should be over in 2-3 days.

    Good luck.

Severe crash when using Nivida geforce 7950 gt in SLI mode

    Hello all.

In a nut shell, I've got x2 NVidia Geforece 7950 GT w SLI cable, and when i enable SLI mode L4D2 crashes. It does slow cycles, basically stop and go with sound. NOW... If I don't do ctr-alt-del the computer, it will blue-screen and restart. No hard video and audio cycles, "just red-light,green-light" and crash if I don't end the program. Other than the game crack'n up, the comp works fine in SLI mode. Granted, the game works fine without SLI mode enabled, but I want to get the most out of my system.

I've tried installing latest Nvidia drivers as well as old drivers: 197.45, 270.61, 306.97 and nothing seems to make SLI mode work for this game. If you'd had success with a Nvidia driver, please tell me what to get. I've looked for drivers for relevant drivers for my motherboard, my processor, (naturally the video cards) and just about everything else and I'm not sure what else I can do

Side note: This is the only modern game installed on this comp (and own), and up until this years February, I've been living 10 years behind in the dark ages for computers (i had a 2001 Dell, Now i have an In Win; Red-Mustang-Car style.) So, I'm pretty far behind the times.

I've also installed "nTune", but I haven't tried "Tune System" yet; I 'll try the quick 20min tune after I finish this post.

I also have NO programming experience, but I can follow directions if need be.

    **COMP-SPECS**
    *OS: Win 7 Home Premium
*Process: AMD FX 6100 BE (6 cores) (Black Edition) (overclocked so each core is at 3.3ghz)
*RAM: DDR3 1333 16gigs (x2 8gigs) (Win7 detects 16, but will only let me use 8gis, can't figure why it won't let me use the other 8) (over clocked to 1333)
*Graph: x2 NVidia Geforece 7950 GT w SLI cable
*motherboard: MSI 970A-G46 (both SLI and Crossfire compatible)

If you need any other info let me know.

    Thank You!

I used to use two GTX460s in the past but it's been a while and I don't have any idea what driver I used.

I do remember I had to turn off multi-core rendering in the l4d2 video options to get it reasonably stable though. I think source games just aren't 100% happy with SLI/Crossfire.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

hmmm... I tried turn multi-core processing off and it didn't solve the problem. Thanks though.
