Thread: BF2142 unban request

Hi there.

I am not your banning admin but we need a little more information as to when the last time was you played and what your in-game name was in order to locate your ban. We also need you to post in this format:

from the logs, it looks like I was the banning admin.

do you recall playing with me? bigdog_jd? Likely I was your squad leader or commander. ANything come to mind?

When I issue a nonteamplayer, and most especially an "ABUSIVE" ban on a player (which is what your ban is coded as), then it's because you were insubordinate, and a nonteamplayer. Likely, you talked some shit about following orders, teamplay, and unfortunately.....an admin was in your squad.

I appreciate your demeanor. I don't recall the situations, since you were banned months ago. Likely, it was exactly how you mentioned. However I doubt it was something calm, such as a criticism of effeciency.

Regardless, on TTP, we expect people to give the benefit of the doubt to the command chain. The commander is the commander, with UAV's and sat scans, and tactical views, as well as comlinks with all squads. Their orders, vision, and plan supercede any signle squad leaders opinion of what's going on on the ground. So when orders come down telling you to move out.....that means move out. You can say "are you sure?", or you can say "commander, I feel we should do this", but it is the commanders job to make that decision, and your job to follow it. MAybe you think getting that last flag will make a difference, but the commander GAVE YOU the order because he/she felt it would make a bigger difference. Or perhaps he has already issued OTHER SQUADS to relieve your position at that flag, and move you up to the front because you are performing well, have a large squad, or are a good leader.

Never, ever lash out against orders in TTP. If you don't like being told what to do, then be the commander, and tell people what to do. Being the commander more often will give you the perspective, and belief that the commander should not be questioned.

slowing down the command chain is ineffecient, and counterproductive to the win. If other squads are following orders, and you are questioning them......then you are the minority, and you are wrong. That's military logic. That's tactical teamplay.
