Thread: Got Banned...

Hey Fellow Bf2 fighters,

I got banned...I'm not sure what started it since I had played about 20 games in a row with no problems. I was using my commo correctly and team playing. In the match with the Mosque in the middle of the map, playing on the MEC side, as a sniper, i was ordered to join the squad on the attack of the mosque. I jumped in a truck that went to the power station. I defended that until killed (about 2 min). When I respawned at the hotel, I was running for the mosque when I heard the squad leader tell me to come to the mosque. Before I got there, I was fired upon from the hill by the water tower and stopped to engage the enemy. After all, I was a sniper. After I killed the enemy, and because the mosque was taken, and because I was close to the flag at the hill, I started to take the flag. I was kicked for not following orders. I immediately came back and said something to the tune of," the asshole who kicked me for not following orders hurt the squad because I was about to take a flag." I was then kicked again for disrespect. I came back again WAS disrespectful in what I said because I was pissed. I came back again and said, "can I at least know who is power tripping??" And I was then banned...

First, I was playing a sniper and trying to do THAT job.
Second, I was never warned about getting kicked for not following orders.
Third, I think that the person who kicked me was being overly unfair and not taking into consideration what kit I was using and that I was trying to make an effort to catch up with them and got into a firefight.
Lastly, I apologize for what I had typed when I got mad and ask to be forgiven. I won't repeat it ...it was foul. I shouldn't have concerned myself with that person and just left the squad for another instead of engaging in stupid diatribe. I don't know who that person was or what admin was present.

I have always played on TTP because I am a Texan and have love for my state and anything associated with it even if it's just in name, and because it's just a plain, damn good server. I love the teamplay and camaraderie. I've played on squads with just about every admin and have NEVER had a problem before.

And who are you Jester? Do not post in a banned forums again unless you are a direct witness to the banning incident or you've been banned and are requesting to be unbanned.

You were initially kicked for not following orders. You have addressed your version of the story and you give a defense as to what you were doing, except that you made your own decision once you saw Mosque was taken to do your own thing and go after the flag at Hill. That was not what your SL had asked you to do. If you are issued orders to attack a certain position, you do it even if that point is taken. If you had a question or another suggestion you should have cleared it with your squad leader. THAT is teamplay. Not making your own decision as to what to do.

You were kicked once earlier in the round for failure to follow orders. Then you were kicked again for the scenario I just described above for not following orders. That's twice.

Then you come back with this:

which got you kicked for admin disrespect, yet that was not enough for you. You just couldn't leave it alone and learn.

So then we get this:

which gets you an immediate warning

But you still can't help yourself

Resulting in

So you should be allowed back on the server why?

I apologize. I was having a good night. I started the round and was intending to snipe for the whole thing. The initial order came and I responded by IMMEDIATELY getting into a vehicle I thought was going to go there...it didn't. It went to the power station which was under attack and I couldn't just screw my TEAMMATES. So, there's your TEAMPLAY. My SL reissued the order to come to the Mosque after I revived after I had been killed at the power station. I was attempting to follow that order when I came under attack from the hill on my way. The guy had my number and I was in the open and had to return fire. It was kind of a running fight that left me on the hill past the water tower. At that point, the mosque had been taken and I went to the Hill flag because it was open. That was when the first kick happened. It pissed me off, because I was about to cap a flag for the TEAM. Although it wasn't SQUAD PLAY, it was TEAM PLAY. Kicking me at that point was pointless and seemed like someone with a power issue. That's twice." That's close to how it happened, but the round wasn't 5 minutes old. The kicks came very quick handed and without much warning or consideration. I was only kicked once for orders, the others were admin dis, admin dis, and then after asking the question of who was on the power trip. The way you describe it, there was 5 kicks. There was only the 4. That's EXACTLY how it happened. I'm asking forgiveness for my disrespect and for not following orders. If you want to be so strict as to try and make it more of something than a simple lesson about your expectations on squadplay and the rules to be followed and show some lieniency, so be it. I've NEVER had problems on this server or with TTP. Wouldn't expect to ever again especially after this incident. But, if my ban is permanent, I'll live with it. Again, sorry for the words I used. That wasn't right. But, I don't feel that this ban is fair considering that I am willing to own up to my wrongs and admit my faults. I'm willing to live up to your standards if you just give me the opportunity. In any event, thanks for the response and the correction involving TTP rules and regs.

scout the way BF2 is set up, if played correctly, the initial support and teamplay is set up at the squad level first. Squads doing their job support the overall team. When one squad member is doing their own thing it weakens the squad thus weakening the team.

Appreciate that. My goal is to get you to support your squad first. This will support the team. Being banned should, if it happens, should be a point of education. Some of our best teamplayers on the server have been banned at one time or another. Even some of our current admins. They took the ban as an education experience and are better because of it.

I need one thing from you before I put your vote up and that is a link to your BF2 stats. Get me that and I will go from there.

Thanks for the time spent addressing this with me...I know there are some real turds that would probably not care or just talk smack. I realize that the expectations here are real and for just reasons and that makes me want to play here that much more. I may be 41, but this old dog can still learn new tricks. As far as stats I.D., I think its......79030828...I haven't looked it up before, so if it's wrong, it's because it's my first time trying to find the number. So, if that's not right, let me know and I'll try again...
